I ran a contest - Submit Your Dirty Interior pic on FB and let the community vote and the top vote getter wins a free detail.
Put it on Facebook, Linkedin, and the website.
It failed miserably, not one person posted a pic.
My goal was to get people to post their pics and get friends to vote to raise awareness. After it failed, I realized, people might not want others to know they live in filth.
My bad.....
Anyone try promotions that really brought in the business.?

Yeah, I haven't had the best of luck with FB promos like that. What i'm finding is working is doing a good job and getting you name out there in the local market. I've been getting lots of referrals the last couple months. I leave 3-4 cards with customer to hand out at work, ect... Seems to be working so far! Keep it up :xyxthumbs:

Yes I leave 3 cards to a customer when I do a detailing job.

How many people did you reach? Maybe your idea was not bad, but your method. Consider having a "free interior detail" contest where people fill out a form (you get their contact information), and privately message you a couple pictures of their interior. This way, you can pick a vehicle that is dirty but can be turned around nicely for publicity later. Also, boost the post on facebook so that it will be seen by several thousand locals. It promotes your work and your brand, especially if you use some before/after pictures of your work as the post header.

Ive done 2 like this and had MINIMAL participation.

I do a dirty wheel contest every year around Christmas.

I get some funny pictures though!!!

I reached 1183 on FB, 324 on Linkedin . I like your idea, I may look at something else to try and see where it goes

I definitely have the word of mouth, but I am hearing from people walking in, they had no idea I was in my location. I really like the idea of giving out cards. A new practice will be started.
Thanks
Steve

Yeah that is just not enough visibility, I would think 4k+ Facebook views on something like that before you start to build momentum.
