Hi i have a month old car just 800 miles on it any suggestions on what to apply on the vehicle to preserve my paint job that's inexpensive? Be advised i hire professionals to do the work i don't do my own, thank you.

1. If you hire professionals then wouldn't they have their own product(s) and recommendations?
2. How much durability are you looking for - years, weeks, months?

Let's start off with 2 layers of Collinite 845 as a staple because you get a very good balance of durability, looks and slickness.

It all depends what type protection you are looking.
Wax will have less durability than sealant and coat.
I suggest pinnacle black label surface coating if you are looking for years of protection.

Just wash the car with Meguiars Ultimate Wash & Wax and seal the car with Opti Seal and you will be done in minutes. You should be able to Opti Seal a car in less than 10 minutes. Just wipe on and walk away

Well the way i understand it there are several brands and processes for preserving paint, i wanted to see what you folks prefered, not what the professionals prefer, professionals often don't have the best interests in the car in mind...to answer your question a few months of protection would be nice, thanks for your advice!

If you have this reservation about your professionals, you need to find new professionals.

On the topic of cheap protection, these come to mind. Hopefully my definition of cheap is in line with what yours is.

I'll also second the recommendation for collinite 845. It's 18.99 from autogeek and has good looks and durability.

If you have this reservation about your professionals, you need to find new professionals.

My thoughts exactly. Chala, if you find a real detailing professional and not a corner car wash where they call themselves detailers, or a body shop that says they do detailing, you'll get tons of information about what to use as your sealant. Now having said that, I realize you may have to try 6 "detail" shops before you find a real detailer who's passionate about taking care of your car. So, I digress, it's a good idea to ask on a detailing forum to gain some information.

I use Meguiar's #20 & #21 as my sealants btw.

Brand new car = $$$$, even if it's a Hyundai or Kia and trying to protect your investment cheaply??????

What to apply that's inexpensive = What is your budget? What's inexpensive to me might be too much for you

If you're taking it to a detailer, which is fine, I'm pretty sure they have their own products and aren't going to take kindly to YOUR advice, given from us on the forum.
