Hi All,

I'm new to this forum so firstly I would like to say hello.

I am a detailer based in sunny England.

I have been a long term reader of Autogeek and am a massive fan of MP.

So onto my question, on this forum I have seen a lot of talk about "Uber compound" and "HD cut".

I'm just wondering if anyone could give me some advice on which is better?
Well better not being the word, but dusts less etc.

Over here in England, I use M105/205 D300 and am a massive fan of scholls S3 XXL and S40.

But one can never have to many compounds to use :)
 
Thank you for starting this thread. I just ordered the Uber compound. I'm interested in the responses you get.
 
HD Adapt is a better comparison to Uber compound. I've used them both.. traded the Uber, use the Adapt almost daily.

HD CUT cuts less or more than Uber compound?

It seems like you've switched from Meg's compounds/polishes...or was it Optimum compound/polishes...to mostly using HD products. I take it that was a personal choice?

The more I use M105/M205 the less impressed I am. The dust is just too much with either of them.

I've never been a big fan of megs, too many products using much better technology and ease of use out there. I use either Optimum or HD, depending on the desired outcome and goals.

Cut will cut much better and faster than Adapt or Uber, Cut will even finish really well on hard clear coats, but Uber and Adapt will both finish darn near perfect when using the right pad.

The double edged sword of these all-in-one with no protection products is that if you are needing a heavy cut and use a cutting pad, you might not get the mirror finish you are gunning for on soft clears. On the other side, if you are looking for a great finish, you might not get the cut you want on harder clears without multiple steps.

To me the great use of these products is being able to finish 90%+ defect free and get a great finish. Something they do a majority of the time, but not always.
 
I'm going to go for HD cut and Uber, anyone know where I can get these in the Uk?
