I was all with you till you mentioned Darren..... I've blocked that idiot. Just my 2 cents.Well, they were better for me than M105!
I've found them to be very forgiving, but I'm up in the Metro Detroit area of Michigan. It can get brutal, but not like it does in other regions. Especially when talking about FG400, and PF2500. The SF4000 didn't seem to like the direct sunlight, but it still worked well, but I switched to M205 to complete the job on that particular day. I also like the Ultimate Compound and Ultimate Polish when working outside.
Darren Priest of Auto Fetish Detail seems to like the Menzerna for his mobile business as well.

The FG400 seems a tad dusty to me, could be the Indian and not the arrow...
Hi Mike ~ I use a Porter Cable and had it at 6. I was rotating 4 orange LC pads and typically the dusting would primarily occur on the 2nd section with a pad. I typically do two 20" by 20" sections with each pad, change it out and then once I have used all 4 pads I clean them and start over. I really need 6 to 8 pads to be more efficient, I think. How fast are you running FG400? I.e. machine speed?

Try slowing down the machine to speed 4-5 to help cut down on dusting. FG400 likes to run at a slower speed while SF4000 likes to run faster. If you look on the bottle, FG400 states 900-1200rpm for rotary use whereas SF4000 wants 1500-1800.
This is where I came up my technique while using these polishes.

Is the über the same as FG400, I still got plenty of dusting with FG400. Most compounds dust to some degree
Mike, I just ordered the PE14. Would you suggest the same Menzerna products with same hybrid pads on the rotary? Or would you change things around?
Every corrective level of paint and temps and pressure applied to sheet metal along with different pads, will yield more or less dusting, don't listen to stang fan he doesn't know,I think he takes pictures of stuff for a living.listen to the people who do this day and day out,365 days a year.

I surely would. Don't change a thing.

Mike, you're friggen awesome! You always have articles that answer my questions with support and then answer the questions I would have!
I can't wait to give this combo a try outside of work where time doesn't constrain the quality.
Thank you Mike, I appreciate the advice. I will definitely try that on my wife's car next. I was using the LC Hydro pads with the FG400 and the LC CCS pads with the SF4000, would you recommend the LC Hybrid pads for the Porter Cable as well? I seem to recall that I read somewhere on here that the Hydro or CCS pads were better choices for the Porter Cable.
