After detailing my my own car, I think I've become hooked. I want to start doing it on the side for friends, family, and co-workers. Especially with the Black Friday sales. Maybe even through word of mouth, my name might just get out there. Already have a few interested.

I'm mainly looking at Menzerna's polishes and wondering if this kit would suffice and last me a few sessions.
Menzerna Intro Kit, Menzerna polishes, Menzerna Final Polish, Intensive polish

and would use Wolfgang's deep gloss sealant.

Currently using the HF DA polisher with 6.5in pads but I think I will pick up 5" BP with LC pads for easier use unless there is a polisher kit that would fit the bill. HF polisher is fine but loud and hands go numb after a bit lol.

Anything else to start me off or recommendations on other products?

Did you try to search for "goto products" cause this subject has come up at least once a week. You will be bombarded with different opinions. There are many many products that work as they should. Looks like what you are considering are great products too. Lots of people here like Menz, Meguiars, Carpro, Mothers, Duragloss, Blackfire, DP, Pinnacle & XMT, Wolfgang. The list goes on and on and on and on and on and on.

Did you try to search for "goto products" cause this subject has come up at least once a week. You will be bombarded with different opinions. There are many many products that work as they should. Looks like what you are considering are great products too. Lots of people here like Menz, Meguiars, Carpro, Mothers, Duragloss, Blackfire, DP, Pinnacle & XMT, Wolfgang. The list goes on and on and on and on and on and on.

There is no "best" combo. Every tool and every product has a purpose.

Will you be doing exterior only or also interior?

As for polishes I feel like if you were to try going for just one setup type of deal to start, menzerna fg400, pf2500, and sf4000 would cover a lot of jobs and offer you some options. Also you may want to consider an all in one product to have on hand for lighter work and quick turn around time.

Again there is no best so you may get a lot of different answers here based on everyone's personal experience and opinions.

Yes, i agree...so many options that the head spins. The kit you picked will work just fine and might be a good starter kit to get your feet wet. That kit will offer improvements in customer paint conditions and they'll be wowed. As you gain more experience you will undoubtedly want to get more into paint correction and for that you'll need a more aggressive compound. And 32 ounces of product for me would be about 4-5 vehicles.

Oh, and a nanoskin mitt for claying before polishing.

That's a good call the 3D products do work excellent. And are very reasonably priced.

I recommend that you schedule an appointment
with your personal/family physician, ASAP, and
inform him/her of this "hands go numb" issue.

A referral to an Orthopedist or Neurologist may
be in order: you don't want this to evolve into
more serious disorders such as:

HAVS (hand-arm vibration syndrome..."Vibration
white-finger"); Peripheral Neuropathy; etc.

I think I'm going to with what you recommended. FG400, PF2500, and SF4000. Just confusing with all polishes in their line.

Will look into the HD line too, it seems they are slightly cheaper.

Yep... can't go wrong with 400, 2500 and 4000.:dblthumb2:

If you're not getting the FG400, I'd say 2000 (like it better than 2500 for the cutting ability, and they finish pretty much the same), and MUCH better than IP1500 because it doesn't finish NEAR as well as the first two. Oddly enough... FG400 (once you work it down completely) will finish better than you can imagine. I like it a lot better than IP1500.rops:
