Wax Streaks? need help

What about a prep solvent like a body shop would use?

Or, reason to try out that new polisher that you have been sitting on. Do you have any pads for it?

You say it's DA, there is not much to be too afraid of. Use a polishing pad and a polish.

good point. are you implying its hard to mess up with a da polisher?

Yes, especially if you are using a polishing pad and polish. Even with a cutting pad and compound you shouldn't have any issues. Just use a little common sense. What kind of DA is it?

Yes. I'd say your more likely to damage your pads than the paint. I just started machine polishing this year and have killed a few pads in the process of learning. Mostly from using to much polish, not cleaning the pads often enough, and not swapping to a fresh one soon enough.

ok.. will see if i can bust out the DA for the first time

by the way, how come chemical guys citrus wash or anything like that wouldn't work?

a Chemical citrus wash and possibly and IPA wipe down should get all of the old sealant off. Also, I too would recommend against topping the jetseal unless you possibly want to add a second coat (Jetseal) to make sure you have proper coverage. I would apply in your garage and just add the second coat 12 hours after your initial coat.

Once that is complete, you won't need to worry about it for 2-3 months!
