I see the risk as minimal at this point. I am currently testing various coatings on top of Essence on my personal cars, and I have been testing coatings on top of straight polish (ie M205 & OHP with out IPA wipe down) for the past year or so and have not seen any premature failure of beading/sheeting properties on these panels. So, you foresee no issues topping Essence with another brands coating? Glad to see I'm not the only one who's done this!
Great work, Zach! You're constantly knocking them out of the park.
I have a 5" (G15) BP and use 5.5" - 6" pads. I have never been a fan of the 6.5"-7" pads, but will occasionally use them on larger vehicles with large flat panels.Zach do you use 6" or 5" pads on the G21?

I think the biggest factor here is the amount of product used. With Essence, you use such little product that after just 2 passes, 95% of it is completely gone. After discussing some of this with Avi, it is my understanding that when Essence is applied via machine, the majority of solvents will evaporate during the polishing process leaving a clean surface behind. For this reason, he assumes it will play well with other coatings as well, but they cannot say for sure since they had not tested it specifically. Given that information and my previous testing with other polishes in a similar manner, and my short lived findings with Essence & 22ple coatings on my own car, I decided to go forward with it on customer vehicles as well.

Very nice work Zach!!
Very well put together thread and great photography!!
How much Essence in ounces do you estimate it took to complete this particular job?
You mention using very little product with the MF pads. Do you apply some product to the pad and try to spread it lightly and evenly over the face of the pad or do you just add a few drops and go to town?
Do you see the MF pad getting gummy or hard to brush the micro fibers back up after a few passes?
Do you use compressed air to fluff the fibers back up?
TIA for any insight offered..
