Headlight restortation

The DP AIO headlight restoration product is on my next order. I will maintain with OCW which has UV a & UV B inhibitors. I am curious to see how well it works in AZ sunshine.

Was looking around trying to decide which kit I'd like to start with. This thread sold me! I followed the link on AG and its on back order. Any idea when this might be available again?

Looks like the people in this thread made 1 heck of a sales pitch. It'd be great if we could get a free sample.😉

Just looked at AG website and they don't show the AIO or the protectant spray coating on back order, just the kits. If you already have the other tools (3/4" PFW, 3" buffer, MF towels) may's well order the DP products.

At $25 for 8oz. all I was interested in was the AIO polish. And it bearly made it though my cheapo meter thanks to todays free shipping which saved $7.95😉

I hear ya, Eldo. I have the same el cheapo meter! If you only have family ride headlights to clean up the smaller bottle is $16.99.

Hmm. I didn't even see a smaller bottle.. But nah the headlights here at home are either brand new, already restored, or on my daily driver made of glass. I'm looking to put this baby to work with a bit more confidence than the prior half noob methods😉

I picked up a 3" backing plate & pads not too long ago, and this AIO polish seems to complete the mini trifecta.

I want the whole kit, only have a 5"backplate at the moment. Pretty good deal if I can get 10-15 restorations out of it.

I finally got to try it out this past weekend.

The 1st set was on a Dodge Ram Truck.

3" LC Flat Foam Orange Pad. Speed 6
Heavy pressure. 3 applications. PITA. My pad started to separate from the velcro at the very end of the 2nd headlight, but I think it's still useable. But the final result looked pretty good.

2nd set was on a Toyota Camry. I switched to a brand new pad.

Holy smack this was a piece of cake! 1 application. Like night & day compared to the 1st set. Super fast results. I finished off with Meguiars Headlight Protectant. I'll try to provide an update on how long it lasts.

I think the 1st set was just a case of extremely difficult to correct headlights.. Based on how it performed on the 2nd set I give this stuff thumbs up👍🏽

Great to hear! I wonder if a LC Thin wool pad + DP AIO would have cut faster through the Ram's headlights vs the LC orange foam pad?

Elderado, how many sets of headlights do you think you can get out of the bottle?

I think you're going to get quite a bit out of this 8oz. bottle. I did those 2 sets and I think I used maybe 1oz. total. It's still near the top.

You make a circle around the pad, but it's a 3" pad so it's small. Plus the spout on this bottle is small, so you use less than you think.

Yea I've seen that little wool pad. Is the only reason they don't recommend using that pad with a 3" backing plate and a DA because it's a half inch bigger? I wonder if that really makes such big of a difference. I don't understand why they don't make the wool pad in 3" size for the DA backing plate.
