Cquartz UK Questions

Maybe I'm wrong but I thought I read somewhere that the essence is used as an AIO with a good sealant but also as a primer for a coating. So wouldn't this be good for getting the paint flawless if using it as a glaze?

You are not wrong, as a matter of fact, you are right on.:props:

I would wash, ironx, rinse, clay, re wash (I would prefer to use reset or Meg's 114 as they leave nothing behind) and go straight to a test spot with essence.

Why would you Iron-X before the clay?

To carefully remove iron particles. Clay does not necessarily remove all iron particles.

My plan was to clay prior to Iron-X. Just wondering why it's better to use Iron-X first.

You would try to clean the paint as best as you can prior to using clay. Like I said, clay doesn't clean all the iron particles and you don't want to risk dragging anything unecessary across the paint, causing marring or damage, needing to polish even further.

Thanks for the info.
