Carpet/Upholstery brushes with PC Questions

1. Does the PC work well with the brushes?
2. What speed(s) do you use for Upholstery vs Carpet?
3. What cleaner(s) do you use?
4. Which brush(s) do you use?
5. Any tips you can share?

I used just the standard upholstery brush they sell on here by an off brand. Way too much vibration to make it even a little but useful. waste of money. can't speak of the other brushes though

I almost pulled the trigger on some cyclo pad brushes.

Howard one more thing Munson was a heck of a catcher! My favorite ball player is Johnny Bench a heck of a catcher!

I really like using the PC for carpet cleaning. I use the gray ultra soft brush, usually on speed 3 or 4. It really agitates the carpet to get up stains. I've been using CG Lightning Fast Carpet Clean & Stain Remover which is great and very economical. I use hot water and suck up excess water with a shop vac after scrubbing.

I just bought a second gray brush recently for scrubbing tires and I really like it for that purpose also. Really takes the effort out of the scrubbing process by letting the machine do the work.

I have all four colors and find that they save a great deal of time and give me better results than scrubbing by hand

Black for tires

White for Carpet

Blue for interior hard plastic trim

Grey for fabric & leather Upholstry

Whatever you do don't go cheap. I think I paid like $9.99 for this brush and the velcro came apart within the 1st minute. Good thing the seller was cool and gave me a refund.

I use the cyclo brand brushes on my GG6 for leather seats, vinyl floors, and really dirty carpets. I have a GG6 dedicated to this purpose.

I use a brush that attaches to my makita rotary via 5/8" thread, I have all three of the cyclo brushes but after I got a large brush that attaches to the rotary, I hardly use them any more.

Yes, Johnny Bench was a great player. He helped the Reds kick our butts back in '76 when he was MVP in the World Series.

Just used the white brush on my PC 7424 to clean up the lineolum on my kitchen floor.
Used Meg's APC at 10:1, speed setting 4. Did a test spot, ran a tape line, and was amazed with the results(also disgusted by how dirty the floor actually was). Wiped off with a white terry cloth towel. The wife was pleased

Here's some pictures from an article I worote a few years ago on this topic...

All the brushes will work but the rotation of the brush can be different depending upon the surface being scrubbed. The soft, flagged gray brush seems to work good on just about anything as the bristles are soft and pliable enough to simply bend and thus help to maintain brush rotation.


There are 4 different brushes available so you can choose the aggressiveness of the brush bristles for your scrubbing job...
