Review: Wolfgang Uber Rinseless Wash

Tap water 100% of the time with rinseless washes!

Agree. Using distilled isn't worth it for Rinseless. The Rinseless solution itself will cause water spots or streaks if left to dry without buffing.

Without a doubt the WGU is worth the money but don't take my word for it, read the reviews! I haven't read a single review saying it wasn't the best out there, well there was an Adam's guy but I think we know how that goes, LOL.

This product is equally impressive as a waterless wash as well, I mean it really works GREAT! I have made some up as "FrankenDetailer" so we'll see how that goes in the future.

Product of the year for 2015 IMO

What's your FrankenDetailer formula?

Take your favorite RW or WW concentrate and make it as a quick detailer and add 1 ounce of KSG for a half a gallon or 2 ounces. o a gallon.

I should say that I just made a half gallon using UWW+ and the KSG didn't mix well with it, ended up towards the top after shaking, oh well. On the flip side I made up half gallons of DG, BFWW and WGU without the same issue. Last one I'm making is with the now extinct TW RW

Oh and BTW for a half gallon I basically take 8 ounces of RW or WW and 1 ounce of KSG and top off with distilled water. It works great dry or wet. I like using it as a drying aid because you lay down an extra coat of protection but dry does the same thing just an extra step.

Distilled water should be used if you make bulk amounts of waterless wash though.

Hmm I do have like half a bottle of KSG sitting around. I'll have to try it. No issue with streaking? That's why I stopped using KSG. I was actually going to experiment putting it in a spray bottle and misting a panel during the drying phase of a Rinseless wash. I also bought some BF Crystal Seal to try the same.

Never had an issue using KSG in the 10 years I've been using it, even before they changed the original formula.

How do you apply KSG?

Honestly I probably have been applying too much. I put some on a MF applicator and spread it around but I like to ensure total coverage and probably end up using too much. Putting in some WGU detailer sounds like it'll prevent streaking though.

Well here's the REAL TRICK:

Take a bowl of water and dunk your mf or terry cloth applicator in there and wring out pretty well.

Pour your KSG into a 4-8 ounce spray bottle and squirt 1 or 2 sprays onto the applicator.

Work one panel at time, side to side and top to bottom and DO NOT wait for it to dry, wipe off RIGHT AWAY! DO NOT use KSG on glass.

After every panel, redunk the applicator to keep it slightly damp but never dripping.

When mixing with WW or RW does it diminish the protection of KSG?

I have no way of knowing the answer to this, sorry but maybe someone here who's got a background can answer, it's a really good question.

That said, my cars have always looked good when using this concoction😀

Either way it seems like something worth trying. Great tip.

I'm with Roger on this one. I used DW for making any sprays or concentrate dilutions. But for regular washes and RW, I use tap. I don't see any advantage to using DW. The stuff is dried and buffed streak/spot free.

WGURW is a fantastic product.

Agreed with many here. WGU is amazing.

I would even dare and say it's 'a waterless which can also be used as a rinseless.' I seriously feel they could have marketed the product this way and everyone would be blown away. Slicker than Blackfire & Ultima for sure, and I love Ultima.

As for tap vs distilled; I use a faucet filter kit (Culligan) for RW, while distilled for WW/detail solution. Works like a charm. With straight tap, I would see limescale here and there after drying.

Tried this today as a quick detail/clay lube, left the surface of the car very slick :). I'm very happy with this purchase too.

Great review Marc! After hearing all the positive feedback from you guys I had to add this to the arsenal. I'm definitely looking forward to testing it out. :xyxthumbs:

Hey Loach, is there a new review coming up? :)

I use Uber strictly for WW and I love it....cleans great, smells great, leave a noticeable gloss behind and is super slick....I really like Ultima, but aside from it "leaving protection " behind I personally don't see it being better then Uber IMO
