Story about my new polisher

Taking the polisher box out of the shipping box I see there's a Griots detailing bag in there too! wow wow wow. This looks like a very nice bag.

thumbs up! I will find someone with a car that's really in need of a good polishing & full detail and knock it out for free. I just got my order from here today. Scholl Concepts Pads + S3 Gold, S30 & S40.

Wow congratulations, great story! Sounds like a very kind person helped you out!!

Also nice Scholl Concepts haul...

That's a heartwarming experience. Congrats on your new machine. I hope you get to try it out soon. I'm in So. CA as well. Looking out the window right now and it looks good - the sun is out. So get at it! Haha.

With all the local people on the forum that live around here, we should do another get together. I've been a part of a couple in the past and it has been a great experience.

Yeap, well except after I got the order I realized I probably should have ordered S17 instead of S30, I have a heavy cutting, a light cutting and a finishing one but no medium cut. Oh well, I know I still got a lot to learn about polishing lol.

I too was just looking at how clear and sunny it is, but if the weather people are right it's only temporary. As much as I'm dying to get out and work the polisher I'm going to wait a few days. Lucky for me I work every day this week so I won't have enough time to fully play with it.

A So Cal meet would be great, I can't say I know anyone on here specifically who's from here. But to get together in a group and meet up would be a nice day.

That's just amazing. Hats off the guy who helped you and good luck with the polisher. This is still the only forum where I actually learn...and that's what I love about it. I spend about 2 hours a day on here and love it :D

An indirect thank you to everyone on here :)

This is a great story, sure you deserve it and the person who gave you the polisher will be blessed.

Post pictures of cars detailed with your new polisher.

There have been a few that I'm aware of. The 1st one was a few years ago, when I first got started on this obsession. I got a chance to help someone out and meet some nice people, all while learning.

The second was a fun one. My friend needed a detail and we needed a place to host it, so he offered up his place and we invaded. It was fun.

I'm sure once the weather plays nice and the days get a little longer, we can do another one.

Great story! There's a lot of good people out there. I thank The Lord for them, and all the opportunities I have to be one.

There's something (nice) about some of these detailing guys. I've had multiple offers to help from complete strangers.

Awesome, i think detailers are really some of the coolest and nicest people on earth

Awesome story, Quebert. Thanks for taking the time to document & share it. Best of luck with your new polisher.

Great story. Thanks for sharing. Reminded me of a thread I just recently read. A detailer just starting his buisness was asking for advice and suggestions, when a fellow member and professional detailer in the same cityoffered to get together to show him the ropes on bringing in clients. In most cases competition never help each other. This wasn't competition, it was autogeekness at its best just like your polisher story. I am new to this forum and to this huge detailing world I did not know about. It has been awesome so far. The best forum I have ever belonged to. I myself self overspent during these great specials. Very excited for the weather to warm up and start my new upgraded venture.
