First Wash since Colinite 476s

I used, of course 2 bucket, soap was Blackfire Wet Diamond: Tons of suds in bucket, nice soapy wash mit (like Nick likes to use for rinseless), the mit just glided, effortlessly, but like 0 suds on car. Is this normal, or am i going nuts?

Some LSP seem to react that way. My current LSP performs as you mentioned. Car get clean but its odd to see in action.

476s is detergent resistant enough that it can be like that. I love the stuff but it can be a pain to apply.

I have heard this but cannot figure out why. I have done 476S at least 5 times now and have never had a problem. It does take more effort than 845 but well worth the result.

Some IMO/IME-factors affecting
"0 suds on car":

•Nothing will kill suds faster than paint
contaminates such as: "oily road-films",
industrial fall-out, and brake dust.
•However...
That doesn't mean the car-wash shampoo's
polymers/lubricants are not performing as
they were so formulated to do.

Also:

•From my calculations: You applied the
first coat of #476 on 12.20.2015.
The second coat of #476 was then
applied/layered on 12.27.2015.

-That's approximately two full weeks for
your vehicle to possibly pick-up a bunch
of the above contaminates, prior to it
being just recently washed.

Last Sunday finished up (detail session)
with a coat of Colinite 476s.

So tomorrow coat 2 Colinite 476s.
Amazing stuff!

In my perception, it's one of those waxes that just doesn't seem to glide on as smoothly. The fairly neutral color of it makes it seem like it "skips" spots when being applied, when in reality there is a very subtle layer there.

Tends to make you second guess and go back over spots, which just makes it tougher to remove later.

I remember hearing a rumor that 845IW is just 476S with a liquifier to make it easier to apply. I can believe it to a degree. 845 goes on like butter.

Bob it was exactly one week 7 day btwn. apps of 476s. Oh! I forgot this the 1st wash since 2nd coat of Colinite. I washed prior to applying coat two. Also sandwich, bag prior to coat two was smooth.

With regards to application & removal, twas easy, using the tip of a a butter knife & a smidge of wax. I did notice that applying, it felt like (kinda/sorta) small areas weren't covered, & found myself making an extra pass, with Flex. Removal was only a pain, waiting the 8 - 10 min, then wipe, then move on.

I hear you on this one. I have learned over time that on a side panel I apply front to back then before the wax/sealant flashes I go up and down. On hoods etc. I apply side to side and finish front to back. As you state, especially on light colors with White being the worst I am always looking at a angle to see the coverage. It seems all hard paste's are a little tough starting out and I keep applying to the pad until it is almost saturated then the spreading is much better and by the last panels there is more than enough in the pad to finish. 476S states at least a year of durability and 845 5-7 Months. I have no idea what is in 845 and Collinite does not/will not state. I usually do a base coat of 476S or 885 then maybe 6-8 months do a coat of 915 or 845 when I start getting nervous on protection :laughing:. 99% of my washes are rinseless which does not really bead well (if that is really a protection indicator). That's my .02 cents for what it's worth, and thanks for your take on the subject.
