Go easy on the first before/after.
I really wasn't planning on setting up a perfect side by side but I tried to snap a few pics for the sake of doing so.
In the end I missed detailing my wife's 9yr old van last summer so I had to make up for the past 20-24 months of abuse and car washes
The Vehicle was a disaster with long scratches. AGain, likely due to the gas station tunnel washes she goes to. Ouch!
Turned out pretty well especially considering it was 12* outside and 55 in my garage.
Products Used:
Porter Cable 7424 with Meguires Ultimate Compound on a Hexlogic Yellow Pad. Followed up by Ultimate Polish on a Green Pad. I really needed to make a third pass with a white pad but didn't have time or energy.
My plan is to keep it away from washes this winter and hitting it with a 1 or 2 step correction if needed in the spring. May need to wet-sand down a couple stubborn scratches and polish from there.
The color is a Black Metallic with a blue-ish flake in it. Paint has a lot of orange-peel in it from the factory. I think Hyundai has since improved the process but it is what it is.
No time to take it through a touchless wash so I did a Rinseless in my garage.
Starting Point:

Rinseless Wash with BLACKFire Waterless Wash Products & Microfiber towels.

Before the entire van looked like this. It was really bad.

After two passes it is nearly good to go. Does need a final white pad polish though.
