Sanding for headlights

I'll try and post some pics. My friend who owns the car did the before and during pics, which are still on his phone but when I was done I took a few. Back with results so you can see how easy it is to get great results.

The blue van's lights were as bad as yours if not worse. The black one is ours and they weren't very bad, just starting to turn cloudy on the tops.

Not the greatest pics and they have lots of reflections but I hate using cell phones in the bright day vs a real camera, but they are better than nothing.

For the best results click on the images as noted to see the larger full resolution I put up.

Here are a couple of the before pics that he took on his iPhone. This was the better of the two lights.

Wiped it down/cleaned it off and then hit it with the above noted process.

Great job. So was that a sponge pad with regular sandpaper?

Thanks. Yes. 4" Hexlogic pad. I have larger bulk size sheets of various grits of wet sanding paper and simply cut them down to size. I sand by hand as it's easy and the amount removed isn't much. Just go in one direction. You can feel the stock clear/UV coat as it comes off and if really bad the oxidation/crusty stuff will sheet right off too.
