Unless you're from the planet mars, you've heard A LOT about Griot's Garage BOSS (Best of Show System) since it was introduced in June. Mike Phillips had a couple nice things to say about it here:

Griot's Garage NEW BOSS Paint Polishing System

I've put the entire BOSS System (yes, including the polishers ;) ) on sale for this weekend only.

Check it out here. :)

anyone looking for a long throw DA (15mm/21mm), here's your chance and the time is now!!

Obviously, MK II is selling very well.

Indeed it is, and so is the BOSS System, and the Porter Cable, and the FLEX polishers. Basically what I'm getting is there is a system out there for everyone. :dblthumb2:

Errmahgerd... Nick, when is this pricing good until? When is the VIP Newsletter special price good until? :buffing:

Just cant seem to pull the trigger on either the G15 or the MkII until I hear someone who has tried them both!

a few things to consider... the excellent customer service and lifetime warranty with griots. all three DA's (GG6, G15, G21) are excellent choices and you can't go wrong with any of them! :props:

Man this is almost making me really consider this...

I tried both and I prefer Rupes.

What are the main reasons [big or small] that makes you prefer the Rupes MARKll over the G21?

Yea but how's the performance? Any pictures of the work you've done with the G21?

i've used my G21 a few times and it's smooth and very ergonomic, though i don't use it as often as my GG6 which i love...

Any 50/50 pics of any major paint corrections you've tackled using the G21?

Look up some of Chad's (Rasky's) posts. He has used both and is probably a top ten Detailer on this forum. You can also Google his reviews on the G-15/21. His reviews and the PM's he responded to convinced me to buy one. I want to try the MKII but my wife would kill me if I bought it and kept my G15 so I have it for sale.

unfortunately not (wouldn't be too dramatic anyway). if you're interested, i suggest trying it out for yourself before purchasing one as everyone has their own preferences/opinions...

@ eldorado. Rupes is a good bit smoother. My Boss sounds like it could fly apart at any minute. Rupes just feels like a better built machine. But the Boss has a good warranty, so everything probably comes out in the wash.

So I have 4 Boss polishers and 2 of them broke...I must say that Griots customer service is not exceptional, it's beyond exceptional. They shipped me 2 brand new in the box units literally before I hung up the phone.

They also included various microfiber towels for me to try. Just for this alone, it's worth buying their machine. I have a Rupes on order but it hasn't arrived yet as its on back order. Let's just say I'm sort of a polisher addict.

I've been looking to get a long throw for 5 months now, I wanted to wait for the reviews to come out for the new Mark ll's. I'd like to get a Rupes but the 1yr warranty scares me, I'm sure their built well but if anything happens after 1yr I'm basically screwed.

Griots offers a 2yr warranty from wear and tear and lifetime for manufacturing defects, I figure since I'm a weekend warrior I'll never end up wearing the machine out, so I'll get a nice lifetime warranty.

Hmmm decisions decisions
