So I was parked across the street from my house to avoid the birds crapping on my car from the powerlines, and the neighbors Gardener sprayed the side of my brand new civic with grass and rocks.

It's a 2015 civic that I've owned for 2 months. I literally just hit 4,000 miles on it today. I came out to go to work and found the passenger side covered in grass. When I got off work, I washed it and found some decent rock chips in the door and fender along with a tiny dent from one of the rocks in the door. This dude literally did not give a s#^! about the fact that there was a brand new car parked there!!!

I have the factory touch up paint, but when I try to touch it up it looks like crap. I really suck at touch up applications. I'm just really bummed about the whole situation. I know stuff is bound to happen, but it sucks when it does lol.

Can anyone refer me to a reputable detailer in the Los Angeles area who can do the touch up for me?

Contact Doctor Colorchip to see who in the area is a service partner. Their system is awesome and the person can show you how to maintain it yourself. It truly is the easiest and anyone can do it. What makes their system different is you can easily remove excess paint that didn't fill the chip. It won't just dry like what you are using now.

Your neighbors gardener needs to pay for professional repair if your vehicle

Do not do not do it yourself

^^ this. I use the product and have for years. Works amazingly well. I just ordered a kit for my wife's van that got pelted pretty badly last year thanks to winter salt from the city and I'm just now getting around to addressing the chips.

He's a gardener/lawn mowing person. Should he sell some of his Apple stocks to pay for the damage? Get real.

My lawn guy is insured if something happens. Maybe this doesn't happen in your neighborhood, but any decent company has insurance.

Many municipalities require that businesses like this one are Bonded.

Many successful businesses that want to maintain a good image, will handle minor issues like this, without much prodding.

If the business refuses to pay for the damage, I would address it with the neighbor who is employing them and request that they contact the business on your behalf.

The problem isn't getting the gardener/insurance company to pay. The problem is proving the gardener was responsible for the damage

Exactly, and that will never happen unless you have some security camera footage.

Go the DR Color Chip route.

Speaking of problems:

Right there, IMO, is the root cause of the problem...
a problem that you created:
(Just to avoid some possible bird crap?!?!)

•How neighborly is/was it to park your
vehicle in front of your neighbor's house?

•Did you at least first talk to them about
the "whys" of you wanting to change your
parking location?

-Who knows: You may have even been
given a heads-up regarding the neighbor's
Lawn Service schedule.

Please sir elaborate on how I caused this problem. Last I checked, the street is city property and anyone can park there (the neighbor never does). How did my parking on the street cause this issue? The issue here is that Gardener didn't care enough to be careful around my car. I did not know his schedule but that doesn't even matter. That doesn't excuse his carelessness. Sure I didn't have to park there but I had every right to. The fact here is that he was inconsiderate and didn't give a crap about my car.

By your logic, if someone did a burnout in some gravel in front of your car and sprayed the crap out of it its your fault for being parked next to him...not his for being an inconsiderate a $$hole.

Is it your fault if someone scrapes and dents your car wIth a shopping cart at the market..oops guess you shouldn't park there either right?

Bottom line is I had every right to park there and this is his fault for not paying attention to what the heck he was doing...

I was just asking for advise on getting it fixed lol

Nothing of importance should be interdependent
on the relatedness of motivation, subcultures,
and property management.

:iagree:
The problem isn't getting the gardener/insurance company to pay. The problem is proving the gardener was responsible for the damage
:iagree: there's no proof of causation , but I see this promblem a lot .
