2015 RAV 4 Polished with McKee's 37 & Coated with Crystal Serum Light & EXO

I purchased this new Toyota RAV 4 in November of last year (2015).

It was time for a new car and I was looking for a SUV since I do some mobile detailing.

..................

Interesting. You applied it outside. The directions for Crystal Light Serum say it HAS to be used indoors. I was wondering if that was really necessary and now I guess I have my answer:)

I applied it in my carport in the shade. It was partly indoors :)

Frank, thank you for the writeup and updates. How is this product holding up ? And what are your measures of how it is holding up ?

Frank you look like you know what you are doing lol.Great job truck looks great.

I think the CSL is holding up good since it's a durable 3-5 year coating. I use the RAV4 as a test vehicle for different products.

Since I coated it, I've clayed it a couple times and topped it at different intervals with Opti-Seal, Reload, Aquawax and recently Hydro2. So I can't tell you for sure if EXO is still there.

Thanks Jeff! I've detailed just a few vehicles before and I've had a good mentor :xyxthumbs:.

Again, thank you.

I just did CSL on my 2016 gti and love it. I didn't get the exo but I saw they have EXO3 out now. I live in Sarasota, FL and it was 85% humidity, so when I went to apply csl I had to wipe like right after each section because it dried so quick. Do you have any experience with the new EXO3 and can I apply the exo3 even if its been a month since I applied the csl? Thanks again for your write up.

I've worked with CSL more after I did my car and your experience sounds about right, at least where the climate is warmer. You need to begin wiping the section immediately after applying.

I haven't worked with the new EXO but I don't think it should be a problem waiting a month to apply.

Try contacting Gtechniq and see what they say.

Alright sounds great frank and thanks again. Would you say adding the exo3 would be worth it?

It depends on your personal preference. I think CSL is a great standalone coating.

They say that EXO adds more hydrophobic properties. Since it's your personal vehicle and you have the time then go for it.

If I was trying to knock out a car for a customer and was limited on time, I wouldn't top CSL unless the customer requested it or I would top it with C2 spray sealant which is quicker and easier.
