Hey guys, I am building up a shopping list on the things I will need to polish and coat my car for the first time.

It is a 4 month old 2016 Subaru WRX in World Rally Blue. There are some mild swirls that I want to polish out so I can apply a paint coating.

Pics of the swirls: Pictures

Are these the correct products for my situation?

Below is my shopping cart:

Griots Garage 6' DA Polisher

LC 5inch flat pads. 3 White and 3 Black with 5inch backing plate.

Mothers California Gold Clay Bar Paint Saving System - 2 Clay Bars

Menzerna Super Finish (SF-3500)

Cquartz 30ml.

If I were you I'd replace the 6 white/black pads with three 5.5" Carpro Gloss Pads, and replace the Menzerna with Carpro Essence.

And don't forget some decent short nap microfiber towels, if you don't have em already.

Why the switch to the carpro products?

Yes, I have microfiber towels already.

Because those pads, along with that product are said to produce an amazing next level gloss. And on top of that it's supposed to be the ideal prep for the coating you're set to use. It'd be like pairing it all up for perfection.

I am still open to other coatings as well, any other recommendations?

Still a newbie here so take that for what it's worth, and I guess everyone needs to figure out what they want to use and why, but I am leaning towards using Opti-Seal. If you used it twice a year it would probably outlast your vehicle and it is a great price.
