Mothers Back to Black Trim Cleaner - Trial by Fire!

Just a little quick one while I've got it on my mind. Many of us have used B2B Trim Cleanet for quite a while now / since it came to market... Because it is really a good product!

One of the side effects of the recent sadness with Papa Fred is that I have now become keeper of his automobiles. This particular one, a 2012 Nissan Sentra has... at best... been hosed down upon occasion whether it needed it or not!!!!

I thought I would share this 50/50 shot off just how good Mothers B2B Trim Cleaner actually is.

The shot is after cleaning, and wiping down. Nothing else has been applied, no trim sealant, No shine of any sort... Just the window trim as it immediately after wiping down.

Of course the next step will be Wolfgang Exterior Trim Sealant!

That's some great results! Post up pics after you apply the sealant so we can see the finished product

Looks better, not great, but a LOT better. Figure it'll take several coats of WETS.

The biggest problem I see with the trim (besides the algae/crud) is it is SO dry that it's cracked.

They only had a single car garage, and the Model A got that.

I may end up just replacing the belt line window trim, but for now... this'll do.

Scrubbed with the included brush, sort of a huge toothbrush thingy.

Did that (only) to the drivers side. (And followed up with the microfiber.)

Of course, the ol' Costco el-cheapo (first gen) Eurow microfiber.... I still have dozens of, which are perfect for trim jobs like this.The passenger side I ended up going over with a mild Scotchbrite pad and the cleaner.

The way it was parked, right side got all the sun from midday till evening sundown.

I think I mentioned in one of my threads about Papa Fred that back on Jan 12th, he left the house that day and had a wreck. Actually... he had a smaller one on the 5th, a minor sideswipe, LF fender, drivers mirror. Then on the 12th he pulled directly into the side of a Porsche Cayenne moving at least 40mph! (Knocked the Porsche into the next lane and it hit a Altima.) What we didn't realize at the time (neither did he) was the infection that took him not 30 days later, had been why he had the accidents. (He had a brain abscess which took his left side vision, and a most of his straight ahead vision after that second accident.)

Now having the lil' Nissan here, it just needs some TLC from CarDaddy.
It's a 2012, but only has 15,127 miles on it!

Pulled out the steam and carpet cleaners earlier in the week and made the inside look great. Nana said "It's so clean it'll probably not run right".

Hennessy had the darned thing for almost 3 weeks doing the collision repair. That second wreck took everything from the core support forward off the darned thing! Even knocked the back bumper cover loose!!!

Plan on putting the Blackfire coating on it when it warms up. Well... that and after the paint cures for 30 days at least. Problem is... I'm so darned picky, it's going back to Hennessy.

Funny that....
When I started pointing out the little things I was seeing wrong with the paint repair, my brother-in-law just blew it all off.

My Atlanta transplant to "the OC" brother-in-law said: "It doesn't matter, it's not like it's a $50,000 car. If it was an expensive car it'd be different."

Don't they use the SAME techs for the mechanical part, the SAME body men, the SAME painters, the SAME labor rate for them, the SAME primer, SAME paint, SAME booth, and get paid with the SAME money no matter what make or model the vehicle is?

Of COURSE they do! Arrrrggggghhhhhh

That's definitely a big difference from what it looked like! Good work!
