Used the Speedmaster junior today for the first time. My wheel faces are so clean that ironx did not even show any iron deposits on the face. However, the wheel's barrels don't appear to have ever been cleaned. It removed sand, brake dust, and 10 years worth of grime. I used the brush on the wheel wells and suspension as well. I will probably buy the larger Speedmaster and possibly a wheel woolie too. I love my one inch Wheel Woolie boar hair brush too. That paired with Meg's wheel brightener is awesome as well.
 
For barrel duty, the large Wheel Woolies has no equal, IMO.

For wheel wells, this is where I think the big Speedmaster really shines.

Another useful brush is the Atlasta Soft Tip. AG should stock it. Great tool when you need that extra firmness dealing with stubborn stuff. The softer brushes can be too soft at times. This is where the Atlasta fills in nicely.

I'd sell my Speedmasters in heart beat for whatever. LOL.

Wheel Woolies are numero uno.
 
I'll give the wheel woolies a try. I've learned you can never have too many detailing tools.
 
Trying to clean these wheels with a Speedmaster Brush was a lesson in futility not too mention a total waste of time. It cant' get into all tight areas. Also, the rubber coated metal tip and center piece seriously concern me. The Speed master is competent enough for wheel wells but I'll take the 3 piece set of Wheel Woolies any day and never miss the Speedmaster in my detailing arsenal.

I bought the Speedmaster first because I didn't want to shell out the $$$ for the Wheel Woolie. Big mistake, since I ended up buying the Wheel Woolies anyway. :doh:






You can see how shiny and clean the wheel barrels are too, the WW gets all they way in and gives outstanding coverage.
 
I just got my wheel woolies today and used them.

I had been itching to buy them for 2 years. I am an idiot for waiting so long. It will be one of the main tools in the arsenal now.

Neglected wheels would still need a stiff brush but I don't have to worry about that on mine.

I hear you.

Also, one of the things I really didn't like about the Speedmaster was the fact that the more pressure you put on the bristles they gave way and you could feel the center piece of the brush rubbing on the wheels. This never happens with WW's because of the density of the fibers. The WW's can also get into the lug nuts pretty well too which the SM can't do at all.
 
Look how clean those wheels are. :props:

I love clean wheels. I could put up with a little dusty/lightly soiled paint for a few days, but the windows and wheels MUST be sparkling each day. No exception. That's my OCD... lol

The little SM is more useful than its larger sibling overall. Can be handy between super tight caliper spacing. I use the big one for wheel wells and sometimes the engine bay, but that's about it.

Wheel Woolies makes cleaning wheels fun, in my case. Love 'em.
 
I have the speed master and wheel woolies. The woolies get more use. They are great. Plus no spatter when pulling the woolie out of the barrels.
 
Looks like my speedmaster is crushed and has become deformed. :(

I received two Speedmaster brushes in two different Mystery Boxes. I tried to use one of them and hate the backsplash off of the wheels. I don’t use it anymore and the second one is still in the plastic it came in. I love my Wheel Woolies and all three sizes are useful. I may try the Speedmaster on my wheel wells but I already have brushes that I use for them. Buy Wheel Woolies!
