The other day I was cleaning the inside of my sister-in-law's car. I saw a "bird bomb" on the hood and told her I would take care of it. My sister-in-law said, "I'll go get a paper towel and clean it off." I said, "Would you clean yourself with a paper towel?" She looked disgusted and said, "No!". I told her it was the same thing and got a microfiber towel.

Could you have phrased it better?
•IMO:
-Probably.
-And, what with the tone of the scolding you
gave your sister-in-law, it could be interpreted
that you expect her to use MF-towels to clean
herself from now on.

That's when I get the "you love your car more than me" speech.

Depending on how the relationship between you 2 is the way you said it could be ok. I mean it is family after all. I have said worse to my family when I clean their cars and they try to help. Lmao.

I clean myself with a paper towel, but I treat my car better than myself. go figure

If there's a BOGO on microfiber towels around Christmas, I guess I know what to get her.

At first I was like - "What's wrong with using paper towel to clean yourself? I do that all the time."

And then it hit me.... Bird poop. Paper towel. Wiping.

Ohhhhhhhh. THAT "clean"......

Does, "Don't squeeze the Charmin" ring a familiar bell? LOL!
