Just bought a new Cobra microfibre towel and found that some masking tape has been stuck to it quite firmly. I don't know how long it's been there but it's stuck on quite badly. I can't use my fingernails to lift it off as it the fibers are stuck to the edge of the tape. What's the best way to remove the masking tape without ruining the cloth? Thanks!

Ask for a new one, seriously. Im pretty sure AG will take care of you.

Try soaking the back side of the towel(side with no masking tape)with a citrus based product. After letting the citrus dwell try your fingernail again. I have removed much harsher adhesive with both Stoner's Xenit Citrus or regular old Goo Gone Citrus.

Good idea, will give it a go. Thanks!

goo gone... NOt sure if towels will work right. May want to retire it as an interior towel.

That's what I'm worried about. It's a brand new towel so really don't want to ruin it. I

Can anyone confirm if using a citrus-based adhesive remover will not damage the towel? Might even put it in the washer and see how it turns out afterwards.
