Removing swirls from exhaust tip

I'm pretty sure I already know this answer and it's a big fat no! Is there anyway I can remove the swirls from my exhaust tip? The tip is located right behind the rear tire and it gets blasted from stuff the tires kick up. I'm not entirely sure how it got so swirled.

If you figure it out let me know - I've got the same issue with my Sierra.
 
I have this and use it. Unless I'm completely wrong, it does nothing in correcting or removing scratches. It'll take off surface dirt that washing alone hasn't taken off, but that's it.
 
My guess is there is no way to remove them. I'm honestly not sure how they got this bad. It really dulls the finish and they do not have the reflection that chrome should have.

I don't know, the included sponge seems to do something with mine.
 
try a compound or polish and see what it does. can't hurt.
 
Metal polishes/rouges, felt wheels, ideally a large bench grinder and patience.

Agoatemywallet or cardaddy might chime in, I think one of them does miracles with metal, IIRC.
