Tornador Black Brush Cone

My daughter got me the cone with the brush for Christmas for my Tornador Black. I went to use it for the first time today and it won't thread on. It goes on about 1 thread and gets tight and I don't want to break something. Also since it doesn't go on far the tube won't spin because it interferes with the narrow part of the cone. Has anyone else had an issue with this. And yes it's the black cone not the white one so they didn't send the wrong one.

It sounds like there's a "bur" on either the Tornador itself or the cone. Take a look at both to see which might be causing the issue, then we'll go from there. :)
