Bunch of cheaters!!!

I'm sure there's a lot more going on that you never hear about.

You could say the same thing about drunk driving doesn't make it acceptable.
They need to make an example of NE to try to stop it.

I never said I thought it was acceptable. If you break the rules you should have to pay. If you don't enforce the rules why have rules at all?

People steal signs in baseball and always will. Teams will try to steal signals in football too however they can whether its with a video camera or with someone on the sidelines or in the booth watching. Im not saying its not cheating but a team should always assume someone is trying to steal signals and either change signals every week or have 3 people signaling in stuff so no one will know which is the real signals. There is a saying that everyone ones "If you aint cheating then you aint trying" not saying its right but teams should expect it. Just my 2 cents

My bad I thought that is what you meant. I just hope they don't hit them with a "slap on the wrist" fine and let them go. I like the new commish and his harsh penalties...I hope he throws the book at them.

NE doesn't need anu help. What this does is create a debate whether the edge on winning that they seem to have can be attributed to stealing signs

As it was said, stealing signs is something assumed by a team
I think what NE did is a bit more "taboo" in the sense that people took offense by that
They may be doing this just with the teams within their division so the can have an advantage when they play the second time around...

New England is being pretty harshly treated on this to just make an example out of. They found a guy with a Sony Handy cam which cant pick up #### worth of defensive calls in a LOUD stadium when the Jets D would be on the field.

Its blown out of context. Even the sportscasters on ESPN said enough is enough PUBLICLY on their shows.

Its getting out of hand. I want to see them win the Big One just to show they dont need it.

As well as cheating they must be paying the commish off too...I hope they lose Brady for the year, now that would be justice.
Oh come on, how would that be fair in any way? The coach got fined, the team got fined, and they lost some draft picks. Considering that they never actually reaped any benefits from what they did the punishment seems fair. Defenses always try to decipher defensive signals, only difference is this team was taping it in order to study it later.

They weren't picking up calls they were recording signals which a handy cam can pick up well regardless of noise.

And if they didn't need it, why do it???

Pats are doing same thing others are, they just got caught, not that it makes it right, but it is what it is. Still love my Boy Brady!

I agree they were caught red handed and will pay the price for making so obvious.

Funny i was watching ESPN last night and they had the GB Packers & SF 49ers 1998 wild card game. During the interview Brett Favre he openly admitted they new the other teams signals, vice versa other tean knew the GB signals.

If you are going to do it try and make it not so obvious.

every team does it. They just got caught. They dont need it. They have arguably the most explosive recieving corps. Adalius Thomas up front and Mike Vraeble is back outside where he demolished the Jets blocking with what 4 sacks? The pats are an elite team eve just in their personnel.

Just because they were one of the first to get caught, doesn't mean anything. They were just made an example of to the other teams.

They handled the penalty with grace instead of a press bananza. Belichick took the fine.

They will make the playoffs and we still have San Fran's higher first rounder. Bring it on. Weve got the coach, weve got the QB, weve got the defense. See ya in the playoffs Im the MAN
