Any of you guys or gals have a preference for washing/maintaining these?

I've always used a separate bucket of wash just for the wheels, and never use my wheel mitt a second time without washing it thoroughly. But, as everyone knows, micro mar occurs.

Scared to death to use anything that would screw them up. Can I use a gentle polish that is made for real chrome?

I had a 13 charger with those wheels.collinite them or coat them.I always washed them with a eggcrate sponge and apc. There not as delicate as you think they are.I would by a wheel woolie for cleaning and cleaning the barrels.

I actually DO use 845 on them, and a gentle MF to wash.

Thanks for the info. :)

My MIL has a Ford Edge with those kind of wheels on them. ONCE, I used 0000 steel wool and A LOT of dish soap (partially for lubrication) to scrub them when the regular wheel cleaners didn't cut it and it didn't scratch or mar them. Of course I used LIGHT pressure and didn't scrub any one place too long, but like mentioned, they aren't as delicate as you may think.

If you want to polish them, I have had success with a liquid cleaner wax such as Meguiars. You can apply 846 afterwards also.
