Wow. Superb results. I too have to thank custmprty for his "no BS, just do this and it works" advice. In this vast sea of products and opinions, it's great to actually see what he has done with his recommended products, and to follow suit and have the same outcome.

I'm interested in using the speed and poxy combo on my black car. How does the poxy compare with good carnubas such as the nattys waxes, pinnacle ext?

I would say it is great for the price, but i think that would be selling it short. Not only does it look great but it is soooo user friendly.

No one answered your question. It's odd that you mention HD Speed and Megs M100 in the same thread. Both are at the opposite ends of the spectrum.

3D is a blend of Adapt, Cut, Polish and on the Autopia cut chart they grade the cut as a #3 on a scale of 0-10. M100 Pro Speed Compound – an ultra heavy-cut compound.

3D HD Speed is an AIO with polishes and sealant, hence AIO and finishes off w/out an additional required step. M100 is used to remove severe defects and will require some polish after (could be Speed, 205, etc., or any other favorite).

Also, keep your eye on the Griot's BOSS Finishing Sealant. It's taken a while for the word to get out, but this is also one heck of an AIO.

Don't be fooled by HD Speed... It does correct, not fill!

The following 50/50's are results of HD Speed:

NDMyMDBENDRBMDdEQzFGODRDQUY6YzA0NGY5NDIxZWE3ODRiNDM5M2VjZTBmYzYzMWU2ZjE=

Who on earth needs anything else after results like this for a daily driver?

Any idea what pads work good with this AIO?

I was looking at this, but it's on backorder. I might try Mckee's 37 360 AIO since that seems to be in stock... Maybe order from 3D direct...

Pads will depend on the condition of your paint. If it needs a light cut, you can use an orange CCS pad with the HDSpeed. I've recently used it on my Benz and had about 90% correction.

This was on speed 4.

if orange pad is for a light cut, then what's the white one going to do? It's not going to cut a thing!

did it finish well with the orange? It looks good from picture, but hard to tell with 1 angle

oh and one more question. How many pads do you usually use with that polisher, pad and product combo?

If you wanted to refine the finish, white would accomplish that.It all depends on paint condition and the final out come.with a orange pad and speed 4 I would have to say the paint was pretty easy to correct.

I used HD Speed for the first time last weekend on my Chrome Yellow 98 Cobra. I've never seen/experienced a product that was easier to use. I used an orange pad. As I anticipated it didn't leave me 100% defect free but it did leave me 100% satisfied. I'm not a professional detailer though, just a DIYer who enjoys using great products on his vehicles. That said, after I finished my lunch I went and topped it with Poxy on a red pad, which went on and off like a dream. I know a lot of people ask what the point of topping an AIO is, but I am always a 2 coat wax guy (remember this is a hobby for me). So in that regard, Speed still saves me a step. My yellow paint was pretty much glowing in the sun at that point.

Any pics of the cobra? I've owned 3 cobras (96-98) in my day. Awesome car. And I just ordered the speed and poxy and wanna see the results!
