What spray wax do you guys use?

I use Meguiar's D156 as well. Works great, very economical, can be used in the direct sunlight and doesn't stain the trim.

Agree. It attracts lot of dust. I got gallon(D156) on sale, not sure how to use all of it

Been using griots garage wax as you dry spray wax, after each wash. No complaints. Leaves a great streak free finish. Also got a sample of pinnacle spray wax. Also very impressive on a DRY vehicle.

It wont attract much dust after the first wash.
 
Was using Megs 156 good appearance but so so durability.
Then pinnacle souveran liquid wax very good finish but too expensive.
Now using optimum spray wax similar look as d156 but noticeably longer lasting ( hydrophobic for longer).

I'll stick with OCW now as I can get bulk at a reasonable cost, and mix it with the ONR I use for a million uses..

Note this is for OZ where availability and price are far worse than the US...
 
Any carnuba based wax will attract dust. The synthetic waxes are longer lasting and aren't the dust magnets that carnuba is. I love both D156 and 4 star spray wax. The 4 star gives a carnuba look as does their incredible UPP sealant. The UPP topped with their spray wax are a killer combo that won't attract dust. I would put that combo up against any carnuba products.

I've heard people rave about Blackfire Wet Diamond Spray Wax [I don't remember the exact name] I believe it's a carnuba spray wax.. Must be something in it, because they all talk about how it doesn't attract dust like many other spray waxes/sealants.

Sorry I meant optimum car wax. Ive been using this on my hood for at least 3 months now due to a repaint and to be honest the stuff doesnt attract dust. I have a coating on the rest of my truck with NUMEROUS sio2 sprays and the hood doesnt get any dirtier then the rest of the vehicle.

When doing a pre rinse for onr, its hard to tell because its silver, but the hood seems to rinse off as cleanly as the rest of the vehicle. Even in a downpour, when it stops the hood is fresh. O/C if it were to be on the sides of the vehicle it may hold onto that more then a coating, im sure it would, but for a $10 bottle the stuff really cannot be beat. And to top all of that, it has a UV product in the spray wax that will migrate into the CC of the car. There is a pod cast where he discusses it and he brings up a good point no one mentions that in 5 years the CC (im assuming on a vehicle outside 24/7) will lose 50% of its UV protection. That pretty unique.

Dr G can do things with his polymers that a mere mortal cannot!

I've been using it as a drying aid lately too and I absolutely love it!

With all the talk about drying aids that offer protection, I feel OCW is best in class for protection. Most other products I suspect just have a long lasting beading/glossing agent which could be what a polymer spray sealant is in a nutshell, but I am not seeing too many mfg's claiming their spray product (that is commonly used for a drying aid) to be a stand alone lsp. Even favorites like reload dont mention uv protection. Not to pick on Reload (all of them are the same in this regard) but its description says protection but it doesnt mention UV protection. None of the spray products ever mention UV protection, Ive read all of the labels. A sealant that you need to buff off may mention UV protection, like PBL says

, which is common for such a product. My only conclusion is that it is darn near impossible to get UV protection in a spray product. C2V3 doesnt have it , duragloss aqua wax doesnt have it, megs nope, none of them do.

Thats why Dr G has a patent on his OCW, its not easy to pull of I suspect.

All that nonsense aside! lol, OCW applies like a dream, smells like a tropical vacation destination and looks , well, it looks like a wax.
 
I've relegated OCW to my wife's silver car because of the occasional streaking and dust attraction. Great product just not the easiest to work with.
