Good evening guys

I have been thinking about paint coatings for ages now and I think it's finally time to step up to the plate. I have been reading up on Kamikaze ISM & overcoat now and I have only seen very good reviews in terms of water beading, ease of application etc. but nothing yet on the ACTUAL durability of the coating. Kamikaze claims 24-36 months if you use overcoat every 6 months, but how true is this really ?? I don't want a coatingfailing on me after say 10 months or so, then I might aswell wax the car instead ....

Reason I ask this is I spoke to someone today who advised me to rather go for the GTechnique coating and layer C1 & exo, but I feel that after all the reviews on SIM I have seen, I'd like to give that a go instead.

Another thing, does the coating fill minor paint imperfectios here and there or do I have to 110% corrdct every inch of the paint before applying ??

Regards

I have ISM and Miyabi on both of my vehicles. The first was coated in August of last year, the second in October. I do not use overcoat and from what I see, it is still going strong. I have foamed with APC and washed it, still runs the water off like crazy. There is zero filling with them, get your paint how you want it before you coat it!

•I would never use Kamakazi on vehicles!

•"Shock and Awe"...Now you're talking! :props:

I would use CQuk then top it with quartz regular, then maintain with overcoat which is probably the best product in its category. The overcoat does hide minor swirls.

To many problems with uk, ism has lasted a year on a car that sits out 24/7. Extremely easy to apply and remove. We have been using it for a year with nothing but positive comments from clients. Feel free to call me if you have any questions

Thanx for all the replies guys. Still see some mixed feelings here, but I went ahead and ordered anyway now.

Hi Bob, long time no see :)
Can you tell me why you say so? Did you try it? Please PM me if you can't reply directly. Thanks
