As soon as I walked into the house, my 14 year old son was so excited to tell me about a “new invention”. He came from his bedroom telling me there is a new invention that removes scratches from your car!

He was watching TV and saw this huckster selling a scratch removal system. It was the same guy that sells Oxyclean on the TV ads.

I acted appreciative because I didn’t want to burst his bubble. I went to the website he saw on the TV ad. They are selling Simoniz polish with this little battery powered “polisher”. The video is a riot. That little polisher cracks me up. And it’s only $19.95 +p&h. But wait, there’s more! You get a free vacuum cleaner. LOL!

I know we are not supposed to link to other retailers, but surely no one on this forum is going to buy this thing…. buyfixit.com

It was very nice of my boy to think of me.

I couldn't resist the free vacuum cleaner so I just placed my order. I can't wait to Simoniz my car with my new polisher. Your really in trouble for linking now Reddwarf.

We got to thank his son :o. That was really nice of him REddwarf, must be great having a son that thinks about you, even when it comes to your hobbies!

Free vacuum cleaner huh, LOL. I want one now :p
 
Aside from the crap the infomercial was pushing that really is a beautiful story..

I can just see the face of a 14 year boy old so excited and eager to tell his dad about this great "new invention"... very cool!
 
I noticed the video the other night. I've seen the paste was and liquid at Big Lots for $2.70. Not sure if the liquid had the battery powered sprayer. I bought a paste for my collection.
 
i got two simoniz battery sprayers. I emptied the simoniz out and filled with ONR QD and the sprayer works awesome. It really keeps you from excessive product use, meaning it comes out even and flows the same with each trigger pull.

Whoa nice you use ur TV as ur computer screen :p. Battery powered sprayer huh, sounds interesting.. I see a 360 controller :D
 
Yeah... I was with my friend at a store a few months back, buying some mother's products (before I found this site) and my friend saw that and bought it. While I was waxing my car, he sat there using his automatic sprayer full of "polish." I told him I couldn't beleive that he spent 20 bucks on that garbage.

$20 WOW I think I picked my bottles up for 6.99 a piece. The electric sprayer was worth that.

Thanks for posting, I also saw that commercial over the weekend. It's almost as good as that other product where they light the hood of the Volvo on fire (after removing oxidization with a spray on product). LOVE THOSE!

Does anybody know if they ship to Norway? I was planning on getting a Metabo, but when I see the Simoniz Power Buffer... Damn!
