Reapplying Klasse. Just SG or AiO too?

I started with a brand new car that i clayed then applied Klasse AiO + 3 layers of SG. Been maintaining just using Ultima Waterless Car Wash.

Im going to give it a regular soap wash with Meg's gold this weekend. Question is, what do i do after....

Do i just stack another layer of SG, or do i need to put a layer of AiO first?

I read the AiO is a cleaner so it might end up removing the original stacks of SG. Is that true?

At this point I would call it done. The protection you have now will easily last six months, probably a lot longer depending on your climate.

If you feel that you *must* do something after each wash, hit the car with Sonus Spritz or Glanz. Both are designed to work with Klasse SG. Personally, I'd go with the Spritz rather than Glanz. Spritz is more of a QD while Glanze is a spray wax. However, I was never impressed with the shine left by the Glanz. Use the Spritz as a drying aid and you'll be just fine.

To answer your question, AIO is a cleaner and it would remove some of the SG if you were to use it again. Should there be a reason you feel you need to add even more layers of SG, you'd simply need to wash the car really well and apply another layer.

You could do mix of distilled water with KSG (3:1 respectively), spray on then wipe off, use as a booster after every other wash or so.....

I don't know if I'd use a mixture like that which doesn't have any lubrication. Water and KSG isn't going to help the drying towel slide across surface very well and might lead to marring.

Oh i see. The car is garaged most of the time ( both work and home ) here in SoCal so its pretty easy to maintain with just the waterless wash. Ill give that Sonus Spritz a try.

I used both of these when I had klasse a few years ago. Being in So Cal I saw 8 months out of using both Glanz and Spritz.

Save dawn for the dishes. Use a car wash soap instead. If you need to remove any kind of paint defects, KAIO will not do that. It is a chemical cleaner. So if you are content with how the paint looks wash and add another layer. Use the baggie test to determine if you need to clay or not.

Spritz isn't a waterless wash, it's a Quick Detail Spray, so don't try to clean you car with it like you would a waterless wash. It's great as a drying aid or a touch-up for finger prints and bird bombs.

It's debatable as to whether the Dawn is really all that effective. Personally, I think it's a little too harsh and leaves my plastic and rubber trim looking hazy and dried out.

If you don't have a DA to lightly polish off the old LSP and clean up the paint, then I'd do just as you described: Wash -> Clay -> AIO -> SG. Just remember Klasse AIO is a chemical cleaner and not one with abrasives, so it won't do any mild paint correction to remove swirls or other defects.

I do have a DA, i used it to apply both the AiO and SG. Any recommendations on a product to use to polish off the old LSP?

I don't see any mention of the type of car, so it would be hard to get too specific. I've found Meguiars Ultimate Polish to be a good "starter" polish if you've never done any correction work before. On really hard paint it might not do much correction, but it would shine things up a bit and get off the old LSP.

Here's what I would do:

Maintain with a speedy prep towel once a month, fine grade, to keep the paint smooth. Use your favorite RW or WW once or twice a week for cleanings. As far as a "pick me up" goes, well, easy. Get a gallon of distilled water, 3 ounces of your favorite RW or WW and 2 ounces of KSG, this is "FrankenDetailer, your very own spray wax. It will help maintain the finish and always look good. You can apply a coat of KAIO every so often and it WILL NOT remove the KSG, no way, ever!

Once the paint starts showing swirls you will ofcoarse have to polish but that's true with anything. BTW, can I suggest you use Wolfgang Uber Rinseless wash, its simply the best product out there and mixes very well with KSG when making FrankenDetailer.
