I love some of the advice in this thread.
Ignore most of it.
Seriously.
Buy what you want. Relatively speaking, there are no "bad" cars out there these days. For every "Toyota/Lexus" person you'll find someone equally as militant about their love of Honda/Acura products. Plenty of people will tell you to skip everything from Japan and go for some product from Fiat Chrysler or GM. And then there are people who will push you towards BMW, Audi, etc. Personally, you couldn't pay me to drive a Lexus ES. No offense to Lexus owners. Yes, they're great cars, if driving from point A to point B is why you buy a car. The F cars are a move in the right direction but they're still not as communicative as their European counterparts...but, that's what makes the world go around. Whatever floats your boat...go with it. I'd also never dissuade someone from buying a Lexus if it's what they want. In fact, I might even encourage certain buyers. You need to figure out what you want and ignore anyone here who tells you differently. I'm not a big Infiniti guy but that Q50 looks pretty nice to me. At the right price, if it's what I wanted, I'd go for it. If you want to know about Q50 reliability issues, check out a dedicated forum. People love to complain about problems online so, if there's something to complain about, you'll find it in an enthusiast forum. Oh, and ignore Consumer Reports -- they should stick to toasters and refrigerators.
Consumer Reports Says the Infiniti Q50 Is Unreliable - Business Insider
Seriously...Consumer Reports doesn't know their arse from their elbow when it comes to cars. Look to C&D, R&T, Automobile, MT and the typical online resources (e.g., Edmunds, dedicated forums) for vehicle advice.
Best of luck with whatever direction you take!

Yup.
This thread is turning into a "Which polish is the best" kind of thing.
If we keep debating which auto manufacturers make the best cars/trucks, then this thread is bound to just turn into another opinion-fest when all the OP was asking was help with the color on his wife's new ride.
