For the last few months I've just been applying DG Aquawax to my clear coated rims after washes. I'd like to move to something more durable, although I don't mind frequent re-application at all.

Ive also used Menz PL, 845, and a bunch of others on my rims in the past. I moved to the Aquawax due to ease of application, and would like to stick to a spray product (I do realize these aren't the most durable for rims and I am aware of coatings). I don't want to spend the $$ for a coating, although the McKeys is a possibility.

Would UPGP be a decent choice for the rims? i like that it could also be used on paint/trim/glass ($double duty$). But if it's not going to be a big improvement over the Aquawax, perhaps the McKeys is the best option.

(Or sub any of the wipe on wipe off sealers for UPGP above-- BFCS, OS, etc)

thanks for any advice you have!

IMO it will be a significant improvement over the Aquawax. Sales notwithstanding, Opti-Seal is usually the most cost-effective of the WOWA sealants, so you might look into that.

Have you thought about using hydr02? I know I'm not the only one who uses it for sealing wheels (actually that's all I use it for). Doesn't get much easier to apply (spray on, rinse off forcefully)

That's a great idea that I've used on wheels that aren't coated.

Can UPGP be used on trim, glass, and headlights like Blackfire Crystal Seal?

Would the Cryatal Seal be any better on rims than the UPGP?
