Hood Stripe Detailing?

Dear Mike:

I have a 2014 Dodge Challenger, And it has a hood stripe? Any idea of how to detail these and what products are safe to use on it , there is definite swirl marks on it .

I have done a lot of those. M205 on a finish pad does just fine. I have waxed and coated them with no change in appearance. You don't need anything fancy.

if its a matte finish, don't polish it, just seal it

If it truly has swirls it's been polished already, I've never had a change with 205 on matte factory stripes.

Hi all, and thanks Mike for the answer and now I know excately what to use on it. My car has no stripes on it except the factory hood stripe. Wish it was a hood stripe delete car. But now I know what to do thanks, product of choice Wolfgang finishing glaze should do the trick

We're looking at the front of the hood there? I was imagining something totally different when you said hood stripe.

...Those are just moderate/severe swirls/scratches that need to be removed.
