Should windshields and Windows be clayed? If so:

can or should they also be clayed from the inside?

does it matter if extra tinting (aftermarket--3m, etc.) is present

I always clay it, it just take couple more mins with clay mit. And yes, you can clay it for sure.
However, I dont clay inside as it seem pointless to me.

I also clay the Ext' glass, head and tail lights and mirors. No need to do inside glass.

If you want the ultimate streak free glass ,I would se clay on the interior glass as well no tint though.Non tinted glass fine steel wool with glass cleaner. The results are night and day and make your future glass interior cleaning effortless wit zero streaks .

As mentioned above, everything get clayed on the outside. Never the interior glass.

One time I was cleaning an older suburban... The back window where the kid sat had dozens of dried on boogers stuck everywhere that wouldn't wipe off. Literally had to clay the inside glass to remove the boogeys.

It's part of the job,but man that's disgusting.

I agree with all of the above - outside: clay everything, inside: only if you have a car full of boogers ;)

I stopped claying after using 3D Eraser Pro. Amazing stuff on glass. Use it with a cheapo MF Rag and it pulls everything off the glass. Thanks to AG for sending me a bottle with my large order placed months ago.

I use either a GG Fine Surface Prepare Mitt or an OPT Opti-Eraser on the exterior glass followed by Invisible glass and then Rain X. The interior gets a pass with a Magic Eraser followed by Invisible glass. Routine works very well.
