Music downloading

Any recommendations of good sites, used WinMx for years and even patched it with the new host file like a year or two ago went it went offline but it stopped working and not sure what happened. I can use I-Tunes, but problem is I find a lot of bands or underground type groups that other pay services don't have or have the songs I want and some don't even have cd's. WinMx was awesome for hard to find songs, any similar ones, think I tried Limewire before but didn't like it. I never once got a bad file or screwed up song off WinMx.
 
I've got limewire pro, but have also been using bitorrent.
 
I loved allofmp3.com when it was still around - try some of the similar Russian sites depending on your moral code.

Mp3.com used to be super awesome back in the day when it was a way for bands to publish their own music - I got tons of stuff off there from underground trance and metalcore bands. I'm not aware of anything that took its place once it stopped being a free place to host your own music.
 
I'm using LW Pro work o.k what are some good torrent sites? I know they have been listed before I just keep forgeting to copy them down. Pauly I have low morals what Russian site :D

I've heard that that website was closed beacuse they were ripping people $1 per song...
 
isohunt.com and get azureus to unload the torrent.
 
Go with Limewire.

They won their case vs. RIAA to invade their network with trackers. Its the safest network by far.
 
Use U Torrent and then use a torrent search engine....there is a site that has 9 search engines on it....I get tons of full albums and singles from it....some very hard to get stuff also....

Maybe its me but I've tried torrents before and it was so sloooooooooooooooooooooooooooow
 
Surfer I'm having the same problem, then when I try and speed it up by port forwarding it never works.
