Dear Menzerna. Please stop changing your names. Or make it more intuitive!

So, let's clear this up. You're advocating that they change they're labeling system again?

Do you work in the education field? (They tend to like to change things all the time whether it's working or not)

Sure why not? As mentioned by the product rep, Menzerna has been in the US for over 30 years. Why keep flawed product lineup nomenclature for another 30 years? I'm fine with going back a step too.

Actually we are listening, and at Jescar-MenzernaUSA I can tell you that I understand the concerns and frustration with the product number and name changes. I expressed my concern when first learning about these changes and explained to the factory that there were better ways to achieve their goals with the new label system, but the changes now exist.

Some of the products that were mentioned above would never find there way into the Menzerna name/number system because they are not Menzerna products. When we first introduced Menzerna to the detail/reconditioning market we only had two products, the Intensive Polish and Final Polish, both developed for use in OEM and industrial polishing. Over time, new and innovative polishing compounds were introduced for use on the challenging scratch-resistant clear coat systems, and these found their way to the detailing aftermarket, such as Super Intensive Polish and Power Finish.

As the Menzerna line was growing in popularity with the detailing community we found the need to expand the product line with products not available from Menzerna. With many years of experience in polishing compounds and the importer of Menzerna since 1978, Jescar introduced these products under the MenzernaUSA brand. With the new label names and numbers from Menzerna we decided to reduce some of the confusion and now market our our former MenzernaUSA products under the Jescar Finishing Products brand. The Jescar line includes our Power Lock Plus polymer sealant, Color Lock carnauba wax, Paint Refresh detail spray, and Top Finish machine glaze. We have additional new products that will be introduced very soon and I am confident that they will be the industry standard for high performance. This is the direction detailers wanted us to take, and we are looking forward to the launch of these new products.

There is no shortage of high quality detailing products and supplies from manufactures around the world. Fortunately you will have excellent options from Jescar Finishing Product and Menzerna.

Happy detailing!

Thanks for chiming in! As long as Menzerna continues to make awesome polishes, i'll continue to use their products.

So Menzerna will be limited to polishing products and Jescar will be LSP type products?

I liked the description on Menzerna's website on their automotive polish numbering system. With that said, i do hope they simply use this system for a while. Once i'm done correlating my old stash of Power Gloss, 106FF and PO85RD i would love to get comfortable with knowing exactly what to reorder!

Not exactly. Menzerna has always been a manufacturer of polishing compound for commercial and industrial applications. Approximately 20 years ago they developed their first successful liquid polishing compound for OEM spot defect repair applications. Jescar introduced the OEM polish to the automotive aftermarket, and then expanded the very limited product offering with additional products for the detail market under the MenzernaUSA brand. Unlike other well know companies, Menzerna is not a "car care products" manufacturer.

What I think is causing so much confusion besides the renaming/renumbering with the new labels is the inclusion of their full range of compounds and polishes to the aftermarket. When you have multiple compounds, medium polishes and final polishes available it becomes an issue trying to decide what to use from the multiple options. In the Menzerna line I would almost always recommend the 400 followed by 3500 (aka 4000/PO106FA) to meet the majority of polishing applications.

LMAO!! They still have a huge following as the product just simply works. Rumor has it that they are going to change the name again!!!

It will be ACME Compounds: ACME Light Stuff/ACME Medium Stuff/ACME Strong Stuff

Their Polishes will be called: ACME Light Polish Stuff/ACME Medium Polish Stuff/ACME Really Shiny polish Stuff

Their Sealant is called ACME Sealant and their wax ACME Liquid Wax.

Believe it or not I like my way better!!!......LOL

I agree. FG400 and SF3500 for pretty much everything or SF3800 for dark blues and black are my go-to products. I just vary the pads.

I'd like to put my two pennies in here.

I've read, and read again just about every single thing on this forum for the last 2+ years. Learned a HUGE amount from product descriptions which are basically straightforward, and from reviews of other members.

However, the Menzerna chart was harder than Chinese algebra to understand. And when there are other posts about it, I don't feel so bad.

Other products do a "this, that, and then this" description.

It seems Menzerna does a ^$%#@lp(jj& and then use B%$#<)ooo

Sorry to be so blunt, but a stepped system should not be so cryptic as to the user (potential buyer) should be turned away by it's complexity.

The last one was no problem for me, but the one before...

PO something some what?

Still today people are using that one too.

No disrespect intended...

Mr. Silvers said they were listening...but, "he without ears let him hear"...from those two posts I couldn't tell if they heard any of what they listened to. LOL! Getting the "why's" is great, but solutions are better. Fix it!--------Sounds like a fix is coming soon. Good. Finally!

I've heard rave reviews of Menzerna products, and I can certainly do as others have done...look at a chart... but, with all the name changes since I joined this forum in 2011...well, I haven't bought a single Menzerna product because of the name changes...not one. Aggressiveness charts are great, cross referencing 3-4 name changes of the same ol' products is...awkward...to say the least.

I didn't interpret it that way at all, it sounds to me the labels are staying the way they are, it's done, and the feedback from Menzerna USA didn't have any impact on that. I also got that there are new Menzerna USA (Jescar) products on the way.

I also found it pretty interesting that Menz isn't even considered a "car products" company, so what they provide to us is just a little sliver of what they do.
