Anyone ever try this? Sure it takes a long time though.

Plish by hand .something new to me...anymore info?

I've used Zaino PC by hand to do motorcycle tanks before, but yeah, it takes a really long time and you don't get the luxury of choosing different pads. I've also used that and XMT 360 to clean fingernail marks out of door handles.

My friend did some spot correction on his truck with XMT 4 and a sponge made out of the orange pad material and said that worked pretty well.

It will take some time but it can be done and will look good.
I have the Polishing Pal from Pinnacle, this little thing works wonders.

Polishin’ Pal includes:
1 White Polishing Pad, 4 inches
1 Yellow Cutting Pad, 4 inches
1 Gray Finishing Pad, 4 inches
1 Blue Finessing Pad, 4 inches
2 FREE Orange Light Cutting Pads, 4 inches
Pinnacle Polishin’ Pal is an ergonomically shaped urethane handle that holds specially designed foam pads using tough hook & loop backing.

You can also get the 4" LC CCS pads, and they have a drill adapter to boot!

Dang, I meant polish.

The local pepboys had a sale recently and I picked up a nice Meguires box of clay, clay lube, polish and pinnacle sovereign wax.

After a good hand polish, is it comparable to what a machine can do? Also I would guess pressure would equal rpm speed on a machine?

Hey Ong~Bak, thanks for the link. I might order that.

You can get decent results by hand, but wont be able to remove the same defects that you will by machine. It's honestly worth the $150 for the machine to me in the better results & time/effort it will save you the first time using it. Once you get one you'll never even consider polishing a whole car by hand.. Plus you can buy brushes for scrubbing carpets and whatnot with it..

I've never heard of a PC having a brush attachment. Seems interesting, that's the word alright.

The PC does look tempting.

What would the time comparison of hand polishing and PC'ing say a 1997 Honda Accord LX? Tan/silver metallic paint.

Special order placed by me. The rest of the products were on sale. :D
