I like to place the car on wood blocks to clean and dress the bottom of the tires.

I like the foaming action of Pinnacle Advanced Wheel Cleaner.

Few shots of the cleaned wheel with Hydro2 applied - notice the water beading from Hydro2.

Polishing process using "The Belt".

The Belt is actually very comfortable and once you get used to it, it's hard to detail without it. It's nice to have your product, pad brush, etc, handy.

A note about the paint and paint correction: I wasn't able to get good pictures of the existing condition of the car but it had water spots all over and what appeared to be light swirls and scratches. I tried a few 1-step combinations to see which would give me the best results but I wasn't satisfied with any of the 1-step combinations I tried, so I decided to do a 2-step (compound & polish) on the hood, roof, trunk and partial sides. So I started with a Flex 3401 + Orange Hybrid pad + Griots Fast Correcting Cream as my compounding step. The results were so good after the compounding step that I just did the entire car with this process and didn't need to follow up with a finishing polish.

Couple shots of the finished wheels and tires. I intended to use a Mckee's 37 Tire Coating on the tires but the coating didn't work well on these tires. I applied two coats of the Mckee's Tire Coating on one of the tires and it was as if nothing was applied on the tire. I've noticed this before, depends on type of tire. So I went with Mckee's 37 Gloss Tire Gel. That seemed to agree with the tires a little better.

Final beauty shots after coating was applied. I would have liked to have taken more pictures but that would have cut into my detailing time and I was trying to get it completed as quickly as possible.

Thanks Marc!

It is a very nice looking car. I was surprised how well the Flex + Orange Hybrid + Griots Fast Correcting Cream worked as a 1-step. I tried Menzerna FG400 first, though it also did a good job, it was a little dusty, probably due to the heat (about 90 degrees in the shade).

I think that last shot is like.. just the money shot. It pretty much says it all about how great of a job you did.

Germans everywhere approve.

Nicely done.

Thank you!

The car had nice paint to work with.

:wow::wow::wow::wow::wow:

Dude, you need a wider driveway:). Incredible reflection and clarity. Well done!

One of the best looking high performance sports sedans. I would take this over MB, BMW, Caddy and Tesla. That rear window roof line is plain sexy.

I came to this thread to see an awesome car, didn't disappoint! You did a great job on the Audi, I mean it looks outstanding, the owner should be happy, maybe get him in on a routine every other week RW!

Yes, he was very pleased and was already asking me about doing maintenance washes. Should be easy clean up with the coating.

Rinseless wash is the way to go, except for the wheels. I still like doing the traditional method for the wheels. Unless I just do the faces of the wheels, then I can get away with a RW. I just don't like leaving the inner barrels dirty.

Barrels are a must and I do them on my DD with traditional wHEEL cleaners as well as stronger ones. Btw I currently have the multi spoke wheels on my Abarth, takes some effort but always worth it

Outstanding work. Very impressed by how well it turned out for a one step and the finishing ability of such an aggressive compound.

That's a sharp car, outstanding work! Like others, that last picture was killer, just WOW.
