Never ever will forget a rookie mistake I did years ago.Was working on a big Beechcraft as I was backing up my van,I was trying to gauge the distance in my mirror and the top of my econoline slammed into the wing.I had a little luck that day only broke the lamp that's at the end of the wing.

That would make me sick to my stomach, I'm sure that lamp was real cheap too.

Aircraft windows are a tough subject. If your not familiar with the particular windows your working on you could have issues. Best to always speak with the owner/pilot/mechanics if your not sure. Windows and the repair or replacement labor are expensive.

Holy crap!! That is awesome! Did you polish that whole thing? That would be quite the job indeed!! I sure hope they made it worth your while. The hard thing I find with really big projects is that they take so much time to do that I could be out doing cars with higher profit margins. Spending 20 hours on a plane is like four or five cars. The jet uses way more product than five cars and it is physically really difficult. I have trigger fingers for a couple days after big jobs like that. I'm getting too old for this stuff... lol

C'mon Anthony, that pitot tube isn't a half-million dollar part. Great joke, though.

According to the pilot it would have been that to replace it and repair the damage breaking one off would cause. On a $23 million dollar plane I'm not shocked at anything they tell me anymore. When they can pay $50,000 for brakes then paying a bunch of money for a sensor doesn't seem so far fetched.
