Water Spots in coating?

So a few weeks ago I was in a situation where I had to wash my car at a spray wash but couldn't dry it, so I ended up spraying it down and just letting the water bead off after some spirited driving.


Well, I went to wash it today and see that there are some water spots I expected this, but after two washes I can't seem to get these out. The car is coated in mckees 37 paint coating applied for about two months now, however car is not a daily. After doing some research I figured I'd try the black fire detail spray specifically for coatings hoping this would get rid of them, sadly it did not. So I am wondering what are my next options, go with a light cut compound, white pad and recoat or are there other options? I am really trying to avoid this as I'll end up having to recoat the hood, trunk, fenders and considering I just went through all the phases before the coating I'm not sure I want to go through all these steps again because next year I plan on using a different coating.

any other suggestions?

Acid wheel cleaner will take most water spots off. Wet the car, spray on the paint, avoid trim. Don't let it dry. Wash over it like normal and rinse thoroughly. I recommend doing 1/2 the car at a time and work quickly.

Your going to need to recoat it. It obviously penetrated the coating.

You have a few other options to try and chemically remove them. These will not remove the coating.

Optimum MDR Mineral Deposit Remover, water spot remover for paint, water spot remover glass

CarPro Spotless Water Spot Remover

If they don't work then your option is to polish and re-coat.

i use carpros water spot remover religiously, works great on any LSP and will not remove it. also theres not may things that will remove your coating with out polishing most all of them are chemical resistant.
