Mothers Official SEMA 2016 New Product Release Thread

The metric one isn't a bad idea. One night, back in the 80s, I spent equal time drinking and trying to develop a metric calendar:

100 seconds in a minute
10 minutes in an hour
10 hours in a day
10 days in a week
10 weeks in a month
10 months in a year

Eventually i gave up and went back to my rum and cokes. My head hurt the next day and I blamed it on thinking so hard about the metric system.

Wasn't one of my better periods, the 80s.

It's not "ReVision"...but I like Mothers'
very cost-effective (dilution ratio=1:10)
Professional Glass Cleaner.

Appreciate the reply, Bob. I already have this version.

RV is a great product, and I was hoping to see a concentrated or the option of getting it by the gallon. Not to sound like a hippie, but I feel a little guilty for throwing a way a whole bunch of empty bottles. Feels like a waste, ya know?

Yes they already have YouTube videos up on theclay. Looks good, I'm sure I'll try it out, looks more like a nanoskin type product the way they rinse and place it on a MF to dry

Just watched the Speed Clay 2.0 videos. Can't wait to try it in the Spring!

The Nanoskin pad makes decontamination too easy. The Mothers clay would be ok if you don't own a polisher.

Whatever they release will be good products. The autobahn picture is the exit near the Delft area of the Neatherlands so probably just a light speed or speed use.

I agree, the Nanoskin is fantastic on my DA, but I like the tactile feedback of clay in my hand. The Nano sponges are a bit small to work with, and I haven't test driven the Nanoskin mitt yet. (Just recently got it.)

I am definitely intrigued by the Speed Clay 2.0 and can easily see adding it to my arsenal.

The biggest problem with your logic here is you're trying to tie two different systems (day and year) together metrically that don't work in a base ten system (metrics - or aka our counting system). You would need two systems (probably 'day' and 'year') each with a base unit (again probably 'day' and 'year').

You would have a traditional 'Day'. Then you would have Decidays (over twice as long as an hour, but equivalent in concept); Centidays (a new concept - about 15 minutes long); Millidays (equivalent to 86 seconds - or a long minute) and then take Millidays down to tenths and hundredths when necessary.

A very doable system and better than what we have now.

The year system... eh. You could do it. But so much is embedded with moon phases and sun pattern that it might not be as practical. I'm thinking I might not be able to see the inner beauty of this without some rum and coke.

The metric system...being brought to
the USA...has already happened:

"The Metric Conversion Act"; (ca.1975)

Please try to keep up...

Bob

Yeah, which is why speeds are in MPH, liquids are in gallons, and weights are measured in pounds. Fully metric there, huh?

I was alluding to the fact that the speedometer is in Km/H.

I'm also a fan of the Mothers ReVision.. That perticular gallon of glass cleaner is no substitute for ReVision, especially considering I don't even use the ReVision to clean any glass. I already have a gallon of D120.

Metric being brought to the USA;
and, metric being fully implemented
in the USA...are two completely
different actions.

Once again:
Please try to keep up.

I've got 4 words for you: Quarter Pounder with Cheese.
The metric system don't mean jack and is nothing more than a nuisance to us Americans as far as I'm concerned. I'm sick of descriptions that try and sound like more than they actually are while just trying to trick you into believing 420ml. is more than it really is.
420 my arse.. Just cut to the chase and say 7 measly ounces for whatever they're overcharging for. Lol. If given a choice of buying a product labeled in ounces vs. mil. I'll choose ounces. It's pro American! Lol.

And if I got that conversion wrong it's ok. Blame it on the stupid metric system. Aint got no time for that. Lol.

Yet another example where someone
comments on a product that they have
not even used. Ridiculous.

It's not ridiculous at all, Bob. Because for 1, I have a gallon of D120, so right off the bat I'm not exactly in the market for another gallon of "glass cleaner"
It's labeled as glass cleaner right? That being said, why on earth would the normal person glancing over it have an impulse to buy a whole gallon of it in hopes that it can actually work just like ReVision does across the same large variety of surfaces? In this day and age, with the vast amount of products specifically made for every single use you can possibly think of, why on earth would I just take a blind chance on a gallon of "Glass Cleaner"?

If anyone's to blame, it's the marketing team @ Mothers. Maybe if they actually gave a more detailed description on their label, and included that it can actually perform on a wide variety of surfaces like their ReVision Glass & Surface Cleaner it might catch my eye and deserve some actual consideration to buy. But that's not the case. And there's too many good products on the market for me to just take a chance and have 128 oz. just collect dust. Comprende?

The new Mirror Bright polish and protection product is going to be something I'm looking forward to trying out. Do I need it, no, but I'm going to try it out as I really like the MB wheel cleaner, so I expect this product to be good as well:xyxthumbs:

Comprende?
Este anuncio tenía tanto "fertilizante"
vomitando desde mi pantalla plana ...
que terminé teniendo una cosecha
de frijoles de mantequilla que crecen
en mi guarida...¿Comprende?
