Sounds good John, you're on the list!

Sounds right. Paul the owner said if the paint came out good he was taking it to the auction. Too bad Paul and most guys can't post and interact on forums it would have been great to see some pictures of it on the blocks and what it sold for.

:dunno:

In an effort to get a more defined head count prior to the ordering of the evenings pizza, and should you be so kind Mike, the addition of my name to the list would hold a two fold benefit to the applicant.:buffing::hungry::thankyousign:

Hey Mike, I would love to come down. Sign me up.

Good to hear Joe, see you here.

Please sign me up Thanks Jason T.

Since this is your first post, welcome to AutogeekOnline!

I've added your name to the list, we'll see you here.

If we want pizza everyone needs to bring $5.00 or so...

I've added your name to the list.

***Update***

This car has a pretty good dirt film on it and the paint is very rough. Don't know if it's overspray or some other contamiant. So while I don't normally wash classics we're going to wash this one so we can mechanically decontaminate it at the same time.

So for anyone that's ever wanted to learn how to use,

  • Foam guns
  • Nanoskin Wash Mitts
  • Nanoskin Towels

Then show up around 4:00pm as that's when I'm going to move the car outside to wash and decontamiate the paint.

I have missed so many Thursday classes...time to show up again.

It will be great to see you again Antti!

Please sign me up for this session, Mike.

ALWAYS love having you here Al! Sorry I missed getting your name on the list.

I was born in 1941 and remember the pre-war Lincoln Zyphers very well. This car has the front end of a 1947 Lincoln sedan but the back is not the same as the Lincoln Continental which I remember in the post-war era. My Dad had a friend with a midnight blue four-door sedan that sported push-button doors and power windows, a first for me as a six year old gearhead.

This will be a trip down memory lane.

Lord willing, I'll see you on Thursday, December 15th.

Al

I actually count on you for tackling the thin, intricate panels on cars so BE HERE! :)

We can definitely take care of the swirls and Baggie test. Sign me up

***Update***

Hey everyone,

Previously I posted that we would start washing the car at 4:00pm because the car is dirty with some kind of slime on various panels plus the grill is super dirty and the tires need a thorough scrubbing before any type of dressing can be applied.

Can't do it.

I have a conference call at 4:30pm for our TV show Competition Ready that I can't miss so we'll start at the normal time of 5:00pm.

Right after I post my review of the SCANGRIP Colour Match Swirl Finder Light

Scangrip_035.jpg

I'm going to wash the car myself because it's dark at 5:00pm so can't wash it after the conference call.

See everyone at 5:00pm

:)

Swirls, orange peel, pitted chrome on pot-metal trim! Looks like it will be a fun time had by all! Too bad i'm up here in wintery Maine! I definitely need to make it down in the future for one of these. You definitely start to miss doing this stuff when you sit behind the desk running the shop.

Mike, I'm so sorry I can't make it, really bummed out, I got caught up detailing a Porsche and took longer then I expected, no way I'll make it to Stuart in time.

I will make it next time.

Have fun guys really wish I could of Made it
