I have a 2016 B5 Blue Dodge Charger Scat Pack. I had the dealer install hood and trunk stripes. They are covered with swirls and hard as hell to remove. I've tried detail spray, wax and etc. What would be the best method to get rid of these? One can put moisture on your thumbs and they will come off but other ways not so.
 
Can you post pictures? Are the stripes matte or glossy? Are they OEM rally stripes that are common on SRT models, or are they aftermarket?
 
Are they mat looking or have a semi gloss to them? What tools do you have?
 
Who put the swirls in it? If they did it you want new ones for free.
 
OK the stripes are Matte. They were installed by the dealer so I would presume they are aftermarket. I do know the guy that installed them had his own business. The swirls didn't appear until after the first few washings.

Create a photobucket account and upload them there. This will allow for larger sizes to be displayed. I would try Wolfgang Exterior Trim Sealant aka WETS. When you wipe it on it will appear glossy or wet but let it soak in and then wipe it off after about 10 minutes blending it nicely with a MF Rag. It will go a long way at hiding any imperfections and help seal the stripes from fading and the elements too. I use it quite a bit. You may need to treat the car 2-3 times over the next month or so but you'll find that after that it will peak in it's effectiveness and then you will no longer need to apply it so often.

I did the matt-finished vinyl wrapped hood on this 1LE Camaro and it looks great. It too had swirls and some scratches but they are all but gone.




 
Yeah if you can get to uploading some pictures, i'm sure a few members will chip in on some help.
I have seen of correcting matte paint believe it or not.
