Hello, I'm Aslam from india

Three years im working with the engines over here. But still haven't been upto the marks (swirls and rids ). Could you let me know the secret ? How can i achieve complete swirl free finish.???

My guess is you're using a rotary buffer.

Instead of trying to get to 100% swirl-free or hologram free simply get any dual action polisher and use the dual action polisher for your last machine polishing step. Problem gone.

Also, don't skimp when it comes to compounds, polishes and cleaner/waxes. Abrasive technology is the most important factor when it comes to polishing paint.

That's a very open or vague questions.


The answer is it depends on,

1. How bad the paint is?
2. Your expectations for final results?

The paint can be in horrible condition but if you're doing ONE-STEP production detailing then a foam cutting pad is fine as you should have never promised the customer you were going to remove the deep swirls and scratches.


If the paint is in horrible condtion but your goal, be it your car or a customer car is a 100% flawless finish then FIBER pads ALWAYS offer more cut than foam with it's uniform surface texture.


So you're question while good is kind of vague....


If I want to remove the most defects out of neglected paint or sanding marks and do it as fast as possible then I would use a wool pad on a rotary buffer or a wool pad on a FLEX 3401 and also use a great compound. Then finish out with ANY dual action orbital poisher with a foam pad and a quality polish to ensure the holograms are removed.
