Some questions on Reload:

How does it compare in durability and looks to HydrO2 and HydroFoam?

Are you guys diluting it 1:1 that is a 500ml bottle makes 1 litre?

From what I understands, it at least 2 maybe 3fold in durability compared to Hydr02. H20F has lesser durability than Hydr02.

When I 1st used it years ago, I cut it 1:1 for dark cars....still had holograms, etc,
Current batch is amazing. No issues even on Jet Black straight.

I have been diluting it 1:1, should I be using it neat or continue diluting? I'm using it as a spray sealant ontop of Essence.

Use it straight.
Side note: Beware of water spots with Reload. IME It's very vulnerable to them for some reason and they're sort of not easy to just wipe away.

I'm not a reload guru. CarPro is a healthy staple in my stash but I got sm1tten with issues I had with my 1st bottle of reload. I use it neat - CP installers seem to recommend it versus dilute. CP recommends 1:1 to possibly avoid issues on dark paint.

I did my initial test with my current bottle via slightly misted water MF/ then reload app on MF towel followed by clean. Did about 3/4 like that. Since it was going so much more smooth than my prior bottle, tried staight spray on panel neat as well - no issues. Did pick up one spot where I did not buff off good almost 45 later. A spritz with reload and buff and it all went out

Key is good lighting, so you know you are buffing it completely off IMO. Looking at it from both R/L angles to catch the product in the light IMO. Lovely product that add ~slickness~ to coatings that generally don't don't feel ~slick~.

Which version of Reload go you have?, look at the date on the bottle. The newest version does not need to be cut 1:1. The older version cut 1:1 is much easier to use on darker paints.

The durability is much better than the hydro options. But the hydro options are so quick and easy it's hard to say no to them.

My version states December 2015.

Officially or unofficially , how many versions were there...
Cause by original dates 7/13 (supposedly the original formula).
I know they had a bad batch in 14
And then subsequent versions ?

My bottle dates 8/16 is definitely much different in ease of use/application than my original bottle. Night and day difference.

It depends on how you define durability.. If simply beading water floats your boat, you may be happy with Reload for maybe a month or 2, and even then the water beading isn't exactly what I'd describe as fierce... As far as real protection goes, on my own vehicles here at home, they both felt like sandpaper after just 4 weeks of using Reload as a standalone.

It's good for its initial pop and wow factor. But I wouldn't trust its durability past 3 weeks or so. I treat it like a typical spray wax and it's fine in that regard.

Ebg18t - I'm not the OP. In past threads, CP said their 14' was a blunder and they went back to the original version....

I was just saying in my reply , there is def. a difference in product application on my '13 original batch and my '16 batch,.

Should I be diluting my December 2015 version 1:1 or not? On my local CarPro website it states 500ml makes 1 litre.

No, you shouldn't have to dilute it. Unless for whatever reason you prefer a watered down version of your product.

I asked Avi from Carpro not too long ago about my bottles produced date and he confirmed it's part of the "good" batch. Yours is 2 months newer than mine so your bottle's trouble free as well and shouldn't need diluting unless you like a weak version of Reload.

If they're saying it can be diluted 1:1 it's probably just to please the same kind of people who still have a reason to dilute Meguiars Last Touch 1:1... Would you dilute Last Touch 1:1? I sure in the heck wouldn't.

My version is a grey colour liquid not white like I've seen by others here.

I've always thought Reload was gray... But now that you mention it it could pass for white? I dunno, don't care. Stuff works good straight and I wouldn't even think of watering it down.

I have the 2014 version. I recently used it on a black car and had greasy hazy issues.

The newer version looks grey, but in fact is white in color. The bottle is tinted to block UV and makes the product look grey. Formula has not changed on later Reload just the bottle color.

^^ absolutely agree. not sure why but using it straight is not something I would do. I found great results mixing it with CarPro's ECH20 though. Just a couple onces in a 28oz bottle of ECH20 works great.

Don't know why it would state 500ml concentrate makes 1 litre if it wasn't meant to be diluted 1:1?
