I've got some products on the shelf and trying to decide which to use

Maybe I didn't explain myself clearly...I was just trying to say if you use something every week that gives you a week of beading, how do you know what the life of your LSP is?

I can see the logic in this. I guess if I were to use something that gives me a weeks worth of protection, every week, then it almost doesn't matter what I use.

I really appreciate all of the input from you guys. I'm leaning towards using the Opti-Seal every few months on my car since it's easier for me to spend a little time more often. Then use the Duragloss 105/601 combo on the wife's car since hers is outside 24/7

I'm with Jowillie on this. Use all 4 on your hood sticking to the specific manufacturers recommendations for application. Then evaluate as to which one performs the best.

We can all offer our opinions here but we may come from different experiences. You have it right in front of you and are best suited to evaluate what you like best. Plus we all like comparo's!

The car will be properly cleaned/deconed/polished prior to application of the LSP. I've also considered to the 105/601 combo first and using Opti-Seal as a maintenance product since it seems to be so easy to apply.

That's the combo I'd try. I used Opti-Seal as a standalone a few winters ago on my daughter's car and wasn't impressed with its durability through a PA winter. DG105/601, IMO, lasts longer. The past few winters, my DD has seen 105/601, topped with either Collinite 915 or FK1000p and both have made it thru the entire winter. This year's winter prep has DG105/601 topped with DG111. So far, so good, but if I feel it's failing later in the winter, I'll just use OS as a drying aid, rather than the D156 or DG Aquawax I'm using now.
Having a black DD in PA that stays outside 24/7 always challenges you to find a better way.

This is sounding more like the approach I'm going to take, thanks Bill.

Out of what you have, I personally vote Opti Seal. Super easy to use by spray and wipe application or as drying aid. I love being able to seal everything at once as well. Paint, glass, trim, and wheels.

I as well was not impressed with EnviroShield at all.

Initially I really liked it. It looked good and did a nice job shedding water and dirt, but it lasted more like a sealant than a coating.

I think same thing.

I use LSP every month or so over Optimum Gloss Coat so longevity is not revelent.

My DD beads water like crazy and always looks shiny (when not covered in snow).

I will continue to use Optimum Gloss Coat 3-4 times per year, topped with Opti-Seal and Collenite 845 until something else proves to be superior.

I ended up going with Opti-Seal. The ease of application is almost impossible to beat and since it can be used regularly I think I have a better chance of keeping the car looking good and protected.

The mantra of "Find what you like and use it often" really resonates with me.
