So, How many times do you wash your car?

I do a weekly ONR wash. That is the beauty of living in Claifornia :). When it rains I will wait until the next day or whenever it stops and wash.

Yeah man it is actually crazy right now too, its raining all week. Last year we didnt have rain at all. Come to think of it I think my car needs a wash havent touched in two weeks, but I know its well protected underneath. I wonder how a quick rinse off then onr'ing the whole car would work. Hmm... I dont want to go through the hassle of busting out the buckets and mitts. It's in the 60s right now but thats freezing cold for us I dont even want to go outside.

That method will work fine with ONR. I've done that myself.

Every day with UWWP, but since finding Eco2O, I now use that with 2 oz of Reload added. With no garage and the highest UV in the nation, I need all the protection I can get.

Do you guys daily drive your cars?

Just going to and from work and on day 3 the car has matted on road film. =(
My car is a DD and it's metallic black too but it's not as bad as straight black though. That said, even if my car were an easier color to deal with I would still be the same way as I don't know any other way

It all depends on what you call dirty and what works for you,

Some do it once a week or like my neighbors once every 2 months, What colour white/black etc...

My brother used to do his every 2 days but has gotten over it a little(2008 WRX Hatch)

Gold Coast Oz, dry, HOT, the odd bit of rain every few weeks.

My car (white)
Weekly 2 bucket wash (Autoglym shampoo conditioner), blow dry, towel finish spritzed with ONR). Carpets cleaned interior wiped down MF.
Bi weekly waterless wash (ONR).
Bi monthly re apply Reload.
Bi annual polish with Essence.

Annual c quartz wheels.

Wifes car (black)
Weekly 2 bucket wash (CT-18), blow dry, towel finish spritzed with ONR). Carpets cleaned interior wiped down MF.
Bi weekly ONR OCW spray wax
Bi Annual polish with carpro reflect
Bi Annual Soft 99 Fusso coat

Annual c quartz wheels

Great question

Before I went full time and opened my detail shop I'd wash my cars every weekend.
Now I'm lucky to get them detailed once a month, the sad part is it's always parked in my front parking lot.
2017 will change, I will keep it looking sharp.

It's very well protected though.

I apologize if im misunderstanding you, but what's the purpose of using the ONR in your wash solution?
Steve

When the weather allows, I try to wash both my car and truck once a week. I use Optimum Car Wash with about 1 ounce of ONR added to my wash bucket. My car stays in the garage and is rarely driven in the rain. I am lucky to also have garage parking at work, but my truck stays outside 24/7 unless I drive it to work. It has been my experience that the LSP on my car lasts much longer than the LSP on my truck even though they are washed with the same frequency using the same products. While I have no scientific basis for this opinion, it seems to me that the exposure to the outside elements does much more to degrade the LSP than the washing.

Located in Tampa FL and not climatologically challenged I still wash my DD once a week. I use Duragloss 902.

It's supposed to help condition the water. Reduce water spots ? Or, just make it slicker ?

Some benefits of adding ONR, Uber or something similar are: Helps condition the water (if you have hard water) and adds more lube/slickness like mentioned above.

I add it to my wash just for the slickness and protection (polymers) plus I have really hard water. You actually made me think about why I do it. I have been adding it for so long it pretty much is one of those things I do just because I always have.

POlish and put a coating on it. Does wonders at resisting road film and what not. Our van has been 10+ days in rain and cold yucky muck including road-brine for frozen roads and it's looking spectacular still. Side doors on the bottom half look a little dirty but the hood, roof and top of the vehicle look great still.

Winter. Everytime after it rains or snows and then stops I wash it. Summer with no rain probably go once a week

Just washed today. Rained this morning and it's 45 out

Probably get a bit dirty on the way home from work but that's life can wash it again after next rain or snow or dirty road

Averaged out over the course of a year, I would say I wash my daily driver about 35-40 times total. When the weather is nice, it gets washed about once a weekend, but some weeks, it's either poor weather and washing is not practical, or the weather has been amazing, and there's just a very light coating of dust on the car, and a wash is not really needed.

.. and about 1/3 of those 35-40 washes per year are waterless, since most of the time the reason for washing the car is dust and not grime.
