Been seeing this youtube ad for TAP Serum and decided to look into it, long story short I ended up checking it out and it produced some pretty good results on my black benz paint and my wife's silver Fiat, I'm more excited about the fact that it doesn't have to be removed since that has always been my biggest hurdle in terms of getting out there to apply a new coat of wax. Has anyone else used this product? And if so, how long should i expect it to last?

never heard of it, and since its not an AGO product...were technically not allpowed to post about it

Autopia is better place for such products

i'll look it up though

looks good though..so its pretty much an all natural breathing/non hardening replenishing/nourishing wax that penetrate through the pores and under the clear.. which in returns masks the swirls..i know of another product that does something similar but uses glassiplexan(not sure on spelling

oh yeah i have used that stuff, it sucked big time, i should have just flushed my money down the toilet to be honest with you.

T.A.P.?

Yes, it is very good. Stands for Thin Acrylic Polymer(s). AGO won't carry it because it's too hydrophobic & glossy. Supply is limited, IIR, due to it being manufactured from MBPs (moon based polymers).

Rumor has it, 94% of the detail shops in Korea will only use T.A.P.

1st post here, brings up youtube ad about product.

Wonder how many people searched for that. Lol.

I practice giving people the benefit of the doubt. My Spidy senses go off when a brand new member in their very first post asks about some obscure product. The post is usually worded to look innocent, as though the person is sincere in their quest for knowledge about the product they are sharing on one of the largest and busiest car detailing discussion forums on the Interweb.

My Spidy senses are usually correct but again... I like to give people the benefit of the doubt.

Of course someone shilling for a product or company usually reveals themselves in their follow-up posts.

The forum rules for AGO state that this forum is for the discussion of the products sold on the AG store but I know most people don't read any forums rules, they simply join and start posting and if they are breaking any of the forum rules they find out after they've made their posts.

So for anyone that has not read the forum rules here they are, note the portion that I turned the text red.

Forum Rules

The purpose of Autogeekonline.com is for detailing discussion, providing a place for likeminded auto "Geeks" to share knowledge and partake in fellowship.

1. The AutogeekOnline discussion forum is exclusively sponsored by Autogeek.com. Product discussion should be limited to products that are available from Autogeek.com and PBMA's family of websites.

Links, videos or recommendations to competing products and companies that are not available through Autogeek.com will be moved to the Moderators forum and offenders will be warned or simply placed into the SELF-BANNED catogary of member groups on this forum.

Repeated linking and recommendations of products not available through Autogeek.com may result in a permanent ban. Moderators have the right to edit any posts that contain links, recommendations or other information pertaining to competing companies that are not associated with Autogeek.com

2. No arguing with Moderators or Administrators.

3. You are welcome to disagree but you must be polite.

4. No bashing any company or their products. No bashing other people. If you can't say anything nice about someone, then don't say anything at all, this also includes talking to others in a demeaning manner.

REMEMBER this forum is here for those that are new to detailing and those that have been doing this for years. We expect that you treat everyone with respect no matter what their level of detailing is. We all had to start somewhere.

5. Forum Nicknames and Avatars must be family friendly, they cannot even hint towards anything raunchy, sleazy, sexual or inappropriate. When in doubt we will err on the side of caution and ask you to choose a different Avatar or Nickname.

6. E-mail addresses cannot be used as a forum nickname.

7. If any thread gets off topic it will be at the discretion of the moderator to close and/or move it to moderators corner.

8. Keep language "G Rated", this includes insinuations. If you wouldn't say it in front of your grandparents, your parents or your children, then you shouldn't probably be posting to the AutogeekOnline forum.

9. Self-promoting clickable links are not allowed in your posts. Detailers can put a link to their company in their signature, as long as they are not selling anything but their services.

10. Moderators have the right to move any thread that does not follow within the AGO rules to moderators corner.

11. Only one account per member! The only conceivable reason for multiple accounts would be for fraudulent activity. You will be banned for this action immediately.

12. Continuously breaking the rules to disrupt the online community will result in you being banned from the forum.

13. No Commercial sales, personal sales or samples from competing companies. One post trying to promote and you will have banned yourself permanently. This is a private forum not an open forum. No links to outside companies for sales either.

14. All messages posted to AutogeekOnline become the property of Autogeek.net. and may not be deleted without first obtaining permission.

15. No personal attacks toward members or non-members will be tolerated.

Exceptions:
We stand behind our Moderators, if our Moderators think you're causing problems for the online community they are empowered to take whatever action necessary to correct the problem.

Rule Infraction Enforcement
Everyone makes mistakes however; pushing the house rules to the limit will not be tolerated. Therefore, chronic and severe violators of AGO rules will be warned, put on a Queue (time-out), or completely banned based on the severity of the violation. We will apply rule enforcement as follows:

1st time offense - Warning: Minor rule infractions, you will be sent a PM or email by a moderator pointing out the infraction. There will be no action at this time outside of the warning.

2nd time offense - Queue: This will give you a 24 hour up to a two week forum break. This will occur after you have been warned previously or if you are involved with bashing of other members, being a hot-head, spamming, bad language, posting inappropriate materials.

3rd and last time - Banned: You will have effectively banned yourself if you are a repeat offender or if you are involved with any of the following....blatant spamming/selling, attacking forum moderators, pornography, racial/sexist/threatening posts, trolling, fraud, liable/slander, multiple accounts, shills.

This sounds like snake oil. This stuff is somehow able to get through the clear coat but not the base (colored) paint? Or the primer? How does that work? I'm not a chemist, but it seems like anything that would penetrate the paint would have to either soften it or break the bond it has with the other coats of paint or the car. I guess maybe it's possible that something is small enough chemically to get through the structure of the paint. I'm skeptical.

All of Google comes up with two mentions of it. One is this post the other is a video, that's it! I say it's a troll and delete this whole thing.

Swanic already mentioned that it's moon-based polymers. I believe they manufacture this stuff on the dark side of the moon so no one can see what they are really doing. I think the Zaino plant is next door.

First - We NEVER delete threads. We MOVE threads but for legal reasons we never delete threads.

Leaving this up is great for a teaching lesson. I'm waiting for the OP to come back and post again. If they are seriously just interested in the product, that will show as they are more active on the forum. If we never see or hear from them again then I'll change their Avatar to the Spammer Avatar.

I'm not here to question the validity of it as I have already purchased and used it, just wanted to know if anyone here had experience with it good or bad since it seemed to be something new.

Darn.

And I have been waiting for the extremely hard to find panacea juice. Hard to find since it's made in Atomic Furnaces on Venus.
